Responsibilities:

1.Reviews production schedules and work orders and assign duties to workers according to order priorities studies quality control report to identify product defects and direct machines operators to adjust the furan sand and chemicals sand compactivity and molds strength. 2.Emplement and follow safety concerns within the designated area of responsibility. 3. Sand Casting foundry Machinery Supply (FMS) Operating Carousel no bake furan molds, producing 900 x 1300 mm Mold size 16 to18 molds per hour. 4.Hand Molding jobbing no bake furan molds, Molding Box length 1000 to 3500mm molding boxes mold weight min 1000 kgs 7000 Kgs (Casting weight 150 to 1500kgs) 5.Ensure all patterns and core boxes are in good condition and ready for production. DEPARTMENT/ FOUNDRY SECTION

Delegating appropriate tasks to the line work force, Recording and monitoring pouring performance hour by hour from start to finish of the shift. Responsible for handling Melting Furnace (Induction) and Casting Furnace (Holding) Rautomead Furnace.

Set up daily plan for production running order.

Ensure all melting, pouring, and charging make up is carried out in accordance with the process parameter sheet for the jobs being done.

Die set-up and adjusting of machine parameters of Casting Furnace. Perform metal sampling analysis using Spectro Meter and conduct calibration. Monitor and control the performance of Induction Machine. Lead the subordinates to carry out the assigned task in accordance with the department work procedure.

Responsible for the safety of the people working in the furnaces, casting Machine and raw materials preparation area.

Maintains sufficient molten level in the melting furnace during production operation. Ensure that the chemical composition of the alloy in every melt is the required specification. Responsible for maintaining melting furnace lining free from excessive slag accumulation. Ensure that the consumption of raw materials is being accounted for. Ensure manpower and tooling are properly managed and utilized. Ensure that the dump boxes and pig moulds are always available in case of emergency. Ensure that every pouring is subjected to inspection procedures. Ensure that the rejected cast bars and casting are properly segregated and identified. Implement good housekeeping and report any safety concerns within the designated area of responsibility.
