Manufacturing Planning Manager September 2004 – February 2006

Responsible for building, grounds and maintenance at plant site of 148 acres and over 2.1 million square feet of building.

Responsible for hydro-electric facility that generates enough power for a city of 75,000 people. Hydro facility generates over 400,000 KWH per day, more than enough power for the assembly plant – excess energy is sold.

Responsible for the Powerhouse which generates steam and compressed air for the entire plant as well as the Waste Water Treatment plant.

Responsible for all Environmental aspects of the assembly plant including city, state and federal regulation compliance.

Responsible for the plant Computer Integrated Manufacturing that includes all hardware, software, and networks in the building.

Implemented Total Preventative Maintenance Teams throughout plant including 5s, visual factory, and material organization.

Generated over $1 million annual savings in personnel in reorganization efforts in both salaried and hourly staffing.

Generated over 20% savings in Fuel and Utilities savings and coordinated plant wide efforts for Preventative Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering including ISO 14,000 certification.

Implemented Lean Manufacturing including hourly driven work groups, synchronous material flow, error proofing and visual factory.

Coordinated Global Study that compares and benchmarks labor best practices in over 160 different areas of assembly as well as quality control and material handling.

Managed training, data development, comparison and action plans from participants from more than 30 plants across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South America, and Europe.

Oversight included development of a web-based system to control the data, plans and reports.
