Role: Consultant – Technology & Implementation L1 Domain: Shipping Project Description: Chevron USA’s shipping and trading segment tracks all its voyage related details in the Marine Cargo Activity Tool (MCAT) which is built in the salesforce platform, and it is heavily integrated with other systems. The client use salesforce to store their data into custom objects such as Voyage, Cargo, Cargo Itinerary, Voyage Itinerary, Vessel, Deal, Port Activity etc. This project requires data transfer from many applications like Logic app (built on top of Microsoft Azure), Pavis, Veson IMOS Platform etc. Several users in this business-like voyage charterers, operation users use this app to efficiently do the business like chartering a voyage, creating, and updating cargo details, cargo Itinerary and voyage itinerary details with reduced manual intervention. This is an application development project which uses Salesforce Aura framework and Lightning Web Component framework. Role Description:

To build flows, process builder to leverage salesforce point and click tools to develop optimized solutions.

It has integrations with many databases and telephony systems. A customer community has been built to allow external users such as employees, Managers, HR users, client partner and super users to create/ view records that they/ their sub- ordinates own. This resolved long waiting calls in customer care and resulted in resolving call drops. It uses salesforce service cloud to provide best customer service using the Service Connect product. The business uses custom objects to store data such as territory contribution rate, marketing costs, and movie rights etc. As it deals with movies, the related records like box office records, theatrical rights are compounded for every week and any update in the parent record could trigger thousands of updates which was handled by salesforce batch and scheduled apex.
