Construction Engineer with ** years’ experience in the Oil & Gas Industry with a further 6 years’ experience working in an offshore environment. Predominantly working for major operators in the construction & pre-commissioning phases of projects.

Presently contracted with Rosenberg Worley in Stavanger, Norway creating Piping Job Packs for the Jotun Refurbishment Project (formerly the Martin Linge Hook-up Project).

Experience of working within multi-discipline & multi-cultural environments with Azerbaijani, Norwegian, Swedish and Angolan Nationals. Strong technical, interpersonal and influencing skills, combined with a practical approach to balancing the needs of development and priorities on a day-to-day basis with an understanding of different cultures and working practices.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

March 19 – Present Rosenberg Worley

Position: Piping Jobsetter

Principle Accountabilities

Responsible for the creation, review and verification of piping job packs on the Jotun FPSO Life Extension EPCI Project (formerly Martin Linge Hook-up Project). Other responsibilities include the creation and development of carry over (& hidden carry over) work job cards based on Punch Lists that are created on an ongoing basis during the project.

Routine activities

Perform Job setting in accordance with Project Procedure

Establish Job card entries in IFS (Company Software package).

Prepare MTO for the Jobcards

Describe installation Method/sequence and any dependencies to other works.

Report progress on job card preparation.

Review safety issues related to execution of the planned work and assess the need for Risk Assessment.

Review the requirement for special tools and equipment for execution of the job.

Participate in discipline internal check of completed job cards.

Provide discipline lead with input to weekly/monthly reports

Verify the latest revisions of drawings are used prior to issuance of job cards.

Apr 18 – February 19 Apollo Oil & Energy Ltd

Position: Senior Engineer

Principle Accountabilities

Responsible for the creation, review and verification of all ‘black trades’ construction workpacks (with input into ‘white trades’ also). These have included multiple projects across a number of different assets situated in the North Sea which require the investigation of key construction considerations and to effectively analyse and mitigate potential risks. Utilised a lesson’s learned approach to achieve sound communications between all interfaces to drive efficiency and productivity. Position: Project Engineer/eMOC Coordinator

Principle Accountabilities

A member of a multi-discipline projects team reporting to the main Project Manager with full project scope accountability i.e. all Piping elements applicable to onshore Brownfield tie-ins between existing site plant and Greenfield new build including the hot-tap of the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP).

Co-ordinated all Brownfield Management of Change scopes (multi-discipline) and ensured the timely delivery of each stage from approval through to closure whilst becoming fully conversant with the eMOC software package.

Responsible for the development of Readiness Review Presentations for all Brownfield Tie-ins to achieve a fully accountable program to ensure all scopes were delivered on time, in budget and as safely as possible.

Liaised with the onsite Construction Company (TkAz) with any queries pertaining to the scope of work and to ensure delivery of close out as an active member of the Tri-Party Walk-down Team. Liaised with Site Operations Team to ensure full accountability was achieved.

Routine Activities:

Achieved the close out of Brownfield Management of Change Scopes (eMOC) across all disciplines within allotted KPI Dates.

Created and developed Readiness Reviews for all Brownfield piping tie-in scopes which ensured commencement of works on time.

Ensured the progress of installation was within delivery dates and reported to the Project Management Team

Solved numerous project issues that arose daily.

Ensured that regulatory BP Engineering Standards and HSE compliance was adhered to.

Jan 15 – Nov 15 KBR Ltd (BP Projects)

Position: Construction Engineer

Principle Accountabilities

A member of a multi-discipline projects team reporting to the Brownfield Construction Manager with full project scope accountability i.e. all Piping elements applicable to onshore Brownfield tie-ins between existing site plant and Greenfield new build including the hot-tap of the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP).

Responsible for the creation and development of the Construction Workpack Template and to influence & implement construction practices going forward for the onsite Construction Company (TkAz). Responsible for the construction review of all Isometric Drawings for Brownfield Scopes.

The role involves the review & verification of all Brownfield scopes for piping, mechanical and structural works liaising directly with the Brownfield Construction Management & Leadership Team on site daily, ensuring that all scopes are delivered ahead of schedule to ensure that the Construction Contractor can reach milestones and achieve KPI’s.

Routine Activities:

Created and developed draft piping workpacks for all brownfield tie-in scopes utilising my own format which reduced materials and allowed for simpler delivery.

Solved numerous construction issues that arose daily.

Provided the Site Team with all updated revisions of documents & drawings.

Ensure that regulatory BP Engineering Standards and HSE compliance was adhered to.

Dec 13 – Aug 14 Petrofac OPO

Position: Construction Engineer

Principle Accountabilities

Responsible for the creation, review and verification of all ‘black trades’ construction work packs (with a specific bias towards the piping aspect) including certification packs for the SAGE Pipeline Isolation Project. This project included the removal and replacement of a Pig Launcher onshore which required the investigation of key construction considerations and to effectively analyse and mitigate potential risks. Utilised a lesson’s learned approach to achieve sound communications between all interfaces to drive efficiency and productivity. Ensured that all piping scopes were delivered to a high standard in line with Client expectations and provide all involved parties with a detailed knowledge for the project.

Responsible for creation, review & verification of ‘black trades’ work packs for the Beryl Alpha & Bravo including Certification & Handover Packs. The main aspect of this project was to survey and develop the removal and replacement of the Pig Launcher and the associated SDV’s within the system.

Mentoring Graduate/Junior Engineers in developing their skills to create work packs and to fully understand how to read the correct information from technical drawings e.g. P&ID’s & Isometrics.

Position: Pre-commissioning Lead Engineer

Principle Accountabilities

Responsible for the completion of all Pressure/Leak Testing scopes (Hydro & N2/He) to achieve First Gas in accordance with the Company Operational Requirements.

Advise and assess (with Onshore Engineering) on all engineering aspects of the design of Test Boundaries and to overcome any issues occurring daily from MOC’s to Technical Queries. Ensured that effective communications established good working relationships between the Client and 3rd Party Vendor. Ensured all systems were re-instated & verified ready for full commissioning.

To have a detailed knowledge of all piping systems associated with the Judy Riser Platform and Jasmine Wellhead Platform ranging from gas export to chemical injection tie-ins.

Routine Activities:

Chaired shift handover meetings/toolbox talks and acted as main interface between the 3rd Party Vendor and Onshore Management.

Completed daily walk downs and inspections of systems to ensure mechanical completion before testing operations and to conduct ‘STOP’ Tours.

Carried out tri-party walk downs of systems to ensure outstanding punch items were mitigated or completed.

Ensured that company HSSE Standards and procedures were strictly adhered to and that all personnel worked towards achieving ‘Zero Incidents’.

Jun 11 – Jun 13 Wood Group PSN

Position: Close Out Co-ordinator/Work Pack Development Engineer

Principle Accountabilities (Close Out)

Control of all work packs (and other Construction Modifications) received from Offshore Platforms to be closed out technically including all certification to be checked/verified and all as-building to be completed at Master Drawing Level.

Ensured that all deliverables were met and that key performance indicators were reached to ensure client satisfaction.

Routine Activities:

Liaised with Offshore Construction Supervisors to ensure correct completion of construction workpacks before return to onshore.

Liaised with Client to maintain KPI status of all ongoing projects.

Maintained the close out register for all ongoing projects.

Principle Accountabilities (Work pack Development)

Responsible for the development & completion of ‘black trades’ work packs for the Return to Drilling Project on the Heather Alpha Platform, routinely liaising with the 3rd Party Drilling Company over technical issues.

Solely responsible for the development of black trades’ work packs for a new Water Injection System, Fire Pump Engine Replacement, Flowline Replacement Scopes and Well Conductor Replacement Scopes. Provide a detailed working knowledge of all associated piping systems for each work scope ensuring that all potential safety issues and risks were mitigated in line with company operational requirements.

Routine Activities:

Created and developed black trades’ work packs

Participated and lead daily conference calls with Offshore Construction Team.

Attended & contributed in planning meetings and HAZOPs’/HAZIDs’ as and when required as well as attending various meetings with 3rd Party Contractors.

Nov 14 – Dec 14 Baker Hughes International

Position: Supervisor

Principle Accountability

Supervise all Leak Testing Operations for the Hook-up of the new Elgin Wellhead Platform Bravo including pre-commissioning of all piping systems from Greenfield to Brownfield tie-ins whilst maintaining a strong safety culture in line with company HSSE Standards.

Routine Activities

Supervised the completion of test packs, rigging up of all equipment and running N2 converter units, line walking systems for testing and completion of job paperwork.

Provided a sound application of techniques with detailed knowledge of the piping systems to aid the Client in returning to normal operations as quickly & effectively as possible.

Liaised routinely with the Operations Team and the Client and ensured safe delivery and validation of Piping Systems throughout the Plant.

Took active participation in daily planning & safety meetings ensuring that all personnel under my guidance worked to a strict safety culture.

Conducted ‘STOP’ Tours on a routine basis to ensure that the Site Safety Procedures were being implemented by all personnel.

Mentored junior operators with the progression of their core skills from pumping operations to reading P&ID’s and completion of paperwork.

As above including proficiency in supervision of Pipe Freezing/Hydro-testing Operations. Basic knowledge of Hot Oil flushing, air/vacuum drying & bolting techniques. Relative experience in recovery & re-injection of Freon Gas for refrigeration plants.

Jan 06 – Jul 08 BJ Services (PPS)

Position: N2 Process Operator

Carried out Nitrogen Pumping in conjunction with Purging and Leak Testing Operations on all specific areas of Process and Production Plants for Oil and Gas Producing Platforms. Operator for Pipe Freezing, Foam Inerting and Vacuum Drying scopes.
