DAVID MORSE AND ASSOCIATES (DMA)
I’m presently working as an independent property/casualty adjuster for DMA. I handle daily and catastrophe commercial and residential property claims, site scene and liability claims from my home duty station in Ray City, Georgia. I work mainly USAA, Mercury claims, Philadelphia and Hudson Insurance company claims.
PREMIER CLAIMS SERVICE, LLC.
I’m presently working as an independent property/casualty adjuster for PCS. I’m handle commercial and daily property and catastrophe claims from my home duty station in Ray City, Georgia. PCS carriers I handle are Homesite and Lloyd’s claims, in the mainly in the southeast part of Georgia.
SEDGWICK
I’m presently working as an independent property/casualty adjuster for Sedgwick. I’m handling commercial and daily property and catastrophe claims from my home duty station in Ray City, Georgia. I have adjusted real property claims involving wind, hail, fire and plumbing losses. I have handled large losses with authority granted. Some carriers are USAA, American Integrity, Westfield, York and other various carriers.
ALACRITY CATASTROPHE SERVICES
I’m presently working as an independent property/casualty adjuster for Alacrity Catastrophe Services. I’m handling commercial and residential daily property and catastrophe claims from my home duty station in Ray City, Georgia. My current authority level is $20-70,000 without authority. I have handled claims just over 1,000,0000.00. I also work USLI, Lloyd’s, State Auto, ASI, UPC, SAGESUR, Nationwide and other carriers.
SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
I served as a loss verifier (lv) and customer service representative(csr), GS-028-11, with the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Disaster Verification Center (DVC) located in Herndon, VA. I was classified as an intermittent employee on call as a surge team member. The SBA activates surge team members in the call of natural and man made disasters, either presidential or agency declared in the United States and It’s territories.
As a customer service representative, I pre-approved real and personal/business property loans for residences and businesses with disaster related damage. I have pre-approved hundreds of home and business loans ranging from $5,000 to $2,000,000.
As a loss verifier I inspected damaged property through photos and measurements. I conclude an estimate of the disaster related damage by use of automated reports using issued DCMS estimation and CAD (computer aided design) software. The reports are used by the loan processing center for determination. I have inspected over 150 homes and businesses. My last deployment has been assisting home and business owners in New York and New Jersey affected by hurricane Sandy. Since I have worked daily claims continual since 2015 I have not volunteered to work with the SBA.
YANCEY PROPERTIES
I serve as property manager for Yancey Properties commercial rental property business. This is my business started by my family in 1964 and was comprised of eleven commercial and residential rental units valued at $1 million dollars. The properties have since been split,but I still retain Yancey Properties with 2 large commercial entities. I design, plan and estimate materials for construction improvements, repairs and maintenance. I hire and manage contractors as well as perform most carpentry, plumbing, civil, and electrical work. I ensure code compliance, obtain permits, manage monies, pay bills and maintain correspondence for Yancey Properties.

DOUGLAS MARINE COATINGS
I managed and operated a commercial paint/finish facility for Douglas Marine Coatings. DMC specialized in finishing Marine equipment, for one of the largest boat manufacturers in the U.S., Chaparral Boats/Robalo Boats and other boat companies as well. I managed and supervised all employees, all production, quality control, marketing, inventory and customer satisfaction. I utilized and maintained databases, production files and correspondence. Our finished products contributed to Chaparral Boat's numerous consumer and maritime industry awards.
While working at Douglas Marine Coatings I also performed insurance collision work on automobiles. I have experience in removing and replacing all panels on unibody and framed Automobiles. I can specify and determine damage extent and estimate amounts.
McCall AND ASSOCIATES
As a draftsman and production manager for McCall and Associates. I monitored construction progress from conception until the issue of certificate of occupancy permits. McCall and Associates is an architect firm specializing in design/build construction, consulting engineering and project management for commercial construction projects throughout Georgia.
My experience includes industrial, institutional, governmental, healthcare/medical, education, correctional, and historic renovation construction projects from $500,000 to $18,000,000 in cost. I produced 2-dimensional plan drawings in accordance with local and state building codes, using AutoCAD software, 16 and 33 division construction index specifications, ANSI/ ASTM manuals, residential and commercial (ICC) code books. I designed floor plans, elevations, and details as well as minor electrical and civil drawings. I conglomerated electrical, mechanical and civil engineering documents from outside engineers into approved construction plans and contract documents.
I approved submittals/shop drawings, rfi’s, materials, workmanship, and local/ state approval letters in according to specifications, and contract documents. I designed and built an in house database system used to estimate materials and labor for bid on new construction and renovations. I inspected construction and made punch lists for involved parties.
My experience at McCall and Associates gave me a well rounded knowledge of construction, bidding, estimating, design/development and working in a professional office environment with engineers, planners and developers.
CUSTOM CLOSET AND STROAGE
As owner of Custom Closet and Storage, a self propriety business, I served the direct public in the residential construction market, by designing, building and installing closet and storage solutions. I designed and built closets using 2-D and 3-D design software in conjunction with CNC (computer numeric code) nesting routers. The finish product was then installed in homes by me or other sub contractors.
SOUTH GEORGIA CABINET COMPANY
I served as vice president and part owner of South Georgia Cabinet Company. South Georgia Cabinet Company has been producing the highest quality casework/millwork consisting of wood, industrial board and specializing in laminate products for thirty years. South Georgia Cabinet Company’s jobs range in value from $10,000 to $500,000. I measured and estimated for materials by field measuring and calculating area from construction plans. I co managed shop activities, employees and initiated quality control practices on all products.
I utilized CNC nesting routers, automated edge banders and beam saws. My computer skills were using internet explorer, Microsoft word, Microsoft excel and Cabinet Vision registered design software. I measured and designed kitchens, bathrooms, libraries, offices, medical offices, hospital rooms and any space requiring casework/cabinets.
ROADWAY FREIGHT COMPANY
As a casual dockworker, I unloaded and loaded bulk freight to and from destinations in the U. S. and ports around the world for the biggest breakbulk facility in the U.S., Roadway Freight. On a daily basis I incorporated area and volume measurements for best conformity and safety as guided by the Department of Transportation, Highway Safety Transportation and loaded freight of various size, shape and weight. I was trained to handle hazardous, poisonous and foodstuff materials and recognize appropriate material safety data sheets (msds). I worked all shifts on call while attending Valdosta State University as a full time student.
UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS
I served in the United States Marine Corps from January 1992 until receiving my Honorable Discharge after a four year enlistment in January 1996. My duty stations included Camp Lejuene, North Carolina: MCAS Iwakuni, Japan: MCBH, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. My primary military occupational skill (mos) was a 3043, Supply Administrative clerk. I Prepared and maintained troop readiness with the appropriate equipment for combat ready missions and exercises.
I was cross trained as Fiscal Supply Clerk serving Marine Wing Support Squadron 171. I approved and managed squadron funding and purchases throughout MWSS 171 Squadron. I communicated with the local vendors of Iwakuni, Japan on a daily basis through direct and open purchases.
I ordered and managed repairable items for Brigade Service Support Group 1(BSSG-1), 3rd Marine Division, Kaneohe bay, HI. I ordered small and large arms, heavy equipment, engines, generators, and missile guiding systems and performed routine inventories valued at approximately $33,000,000. I processed outdated and unserviceable equipment through DRMO’s (defense reutilization materials program). I routinely communicated with CRANE Indiana in the procurement of military arms.
As a Marine NCO I learned leadership skills as wells as decision making skills used to help me prepare my subordinates for troop readiness. I drilled troops, oversaw combat and security training and led physical training. My computer skills were using lan lines, before commercial e-mail was available, word and spreadsheet programs.
I received a letter of Meritorious Mast, letters of appreciation and physical performance awards. I attended off duty education while in the Marine Corps that eventually led to my bachelor’s degree completed in May of 2000. My traits and leadership skills derived from my experience in the Marine Corps influence my present day decisions and standards. I can lead, manage and make the right decisions and the experience I gained in the U.S. Marine Corps made me appreciate others with different backgrounds.
