BIO:

To understand what makes me so unique, first you need to know a little about my story. After growing up in a VERY broken home, surrounded by the mafia, at age 15 I was expelled from school and took to the streets, working with several high-level mafiosi, including Anthony “Tony Jack” Giacolone, the number #1 suspect in the Jimmy Hoffa disappearance.

At age 29, I was sentenced to 13-50 years in prison for extortion and bank robbery. In prison, I decided I’d had enough of that life and decided to become the man I knew I was meant to be. A good, honest man of integrity, I changed my entire mindset and discovered I had a very special gift for writing. Ultimately, I would pen 9 novels and earn a two-year college degree with a 3.9 GPA. I’d also end up falling in love, through letters, with a woman who worked for an NYC publisher. She waited 7 years, and we married the day after my release in 2016.

When I published my first two novels, TO BE A KING Volumes 1 & 2, both cracked the top 50 in their genre. Readers were calling the series, “The next Godfather.” I then launched “OUR THING” Apparel, an edgy line of urban athletic apparel that began selling around the world.

Since then, I have been an inspirational speaker for several live audiences, including the Entrepreneur’s Organization. I have been featured on Fox, Fox Nation, VLAD TV, and some of the biggest podcasts and YouTube channels in the world. I was even featured in The Huffington Post.

I launched a YouTube channel as a vehicle to promote my books and apparel. To date, I have approximately 10,000 subscribers and have produced and hosted over 500 long-form shows.

I hosted a live mainstream radio show, “OUR THING,” on Detroit’s 910 Super Station for 2.5 years but the show is now moving to a new, even larger station. The focus of “OUR THING” is inspiration, creativity, and the art of storytelling. I have interviewed dozens of celebrities, famous media personalities, and best-selling authors.

I also work as Book Marketing Manager and have executed highly successful book marketing campaigns for dozens of best-selling authors, including a pair of Pulitzer Prize winners.

As a writing coach, I have a passion for helping aspiring writers bring their dreams of being a published author to fruition. One of my students had a mini-series made on his life, on NBC, starring Renee Zellweger. I love the process of aggregating and telling stories in the most impactful way. It is my one true gift and passion.

YouTube & Radio Host

I have produced and hosted hundreds of YouTube and radio shows. My YouTube channel boasts nearly 10K subscribers, and my channel gets around 200k views per months. My best shows topped 25k views. My radio show, “OUR THING,” was on 910 Superstation Detroit, the #14 market in America, on one of the largest and oldest talk radio stations in the country. “OUR THING” aired prime time, Fri 7-9 PM, for 2.5 years. As the host, I interviewed hundreds of interesting celebrity guests. I love prying out the story behind the story. There always is one.
