WORK EXPERIENCE

I took care of the residents with there personal hygiene and assisted some of them with daily dressing them

and I did there laundry & monitored over certain ones that smoked ciggerettes and etc. I feel that I work very

well with the most difficult residents and I've been told that as well.

C.N.A. & Restortive Aide postition

Lexington Park - Topeka, KS - November 2003 to February 2008

Responsibilities

As being a C.N.A. i did rounds to each pt and checked if they were incontinent and took them to the bathroom

and out for meals and snacks. I gave them baths and helped them get dressed and did oral care with them

and met the job requirements.

Accomplishments

Because i did so well as a C.N.A. I was offered the postion to become a restortative aide for the entire facility

which entailed Range of Motion to certain pts that had contracted limbs and made sure they're splints or braces

were properly applied on them right and i watched over the aides at meal time and snack times to make sure

those pts that we in the walk to dine were beIng walked to they're table right and i was in charge of documenting

the % of those pts on how much they ate or drank at meal time and at snack time. I also assisted activities

in some of there activites as they helped me decideced which pts needed to be on the walk to dine list and

we prepared them in walking 3 times a week in the morning in walking with them so they'd know how they

was suppose to keep there mobility up.

Skills Used

Helping pts with they're daily health and show them how important it is for them to keep up they're mobility skills.

Responsibilities

Assisted pts in getting dressed and showered that needed assisances and helped preparing meals sometimes

and cleaned rooms and bath rooms and showers and hallway by sweeping and mopping and emptied trash.

My job description is what a certified nurses aide is trained to do . Personal hygiene; Dressing or Undressing

the Resident; Assist if needed at meal times; Documenting on each resident in the ADLs that I'm responsible

for; Reporting to my charge nurse of any changes or injuries that the Resident might have; Toilet them every

2 hrs and those residents that are bed ridden check them for incontinence and turn the residents body postion

every 2 hrs as well ; Give report after each shift to the next shift coming on.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The reasons for gasps in my employment are due to family & personal issues and the sudden unexspected

death of my mother and i really didnt have to work but now im wanting to get back into the swing of things and

exercise my gift which is caring for those in need of help.
