OBJECTIVE
Efficiently produce professional copy with meticulous precision
EXPERIENCE
Assistant Medical Editor – Physicians’ Education Resource August 2000 – September 2001
As Assistant Medical Editor, I brought copy from first draft to print for a weekly Oncology Journal used for continuing medical education. This entailed the initial paper edit, second round draft with data and chart proofing, and then the final approval of all articles and graphic design for print. At least 10 newsletters were published per week with each editor handling three at any one time.
Bookkeeper – Adams and Adams Associates January 1996 – April 2004
Starting as a Receptionist in a tax and accounting firm, I drafted letters to clients and proofed communications with the Internal Revenue on a daily basis. This required accuracy of data and client information regarding correspondence to the IRS and clear explanations for the clients. Additionally, I proofed all the data for individual tax returns before transmission to the IRS, numbering well over 500.
Upon obtaining my Bachelor of Art, I was promoted to Bookkeeper, taking on 5 small businesses and handling monthly financial statements
Personal Trainer December 2012 – Present
Bringing my acute skills of observation into the physical realm, I wrote comprehensive nutrition guides and exercise programs to help my clients achieve their goals. As an independent contractor, I built and maintained a website and fitness blog with monthly posts. Furthermore, I coached online clients which often required written explanations of the programs and exercise techniques, amounting to technical writing.
