Oman Liquefied Natural Gas LLC (Oman LNG) is a Joint Venture company, having head office in Muscat, produces and sells Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and its by-product Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs). OLNG operate 3 liquefaction trains at Sur site with the capacity of 10.4 MTPA (34 Million meters3/day), each trains can produce >3 MTPA. It’s feed gas is transported from the Central Oman Gas Field Complex thru 360 km, 48” pipeline.

At OLNG : CO2, Water and Natural Gas liquids are separated out & Methane is liquefied into LNG at -162 C. Liquid Gas transportation is done on specially insulated carriers that can carry cargoes of over 200,000 cubic meters of LNG by sea. Oman LNG has a membership in Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL), having potential customers named as -

Reviewed many SMS (SABIC Manufacturing Standards) & based on my field experience given many positive inputs to include, worked in coordination with SABIC-Jubail manufacturing team.

Did Asset Performance Analysis for all SAFCO plants’ Electrical System on regular basis in alignment with SMS & RCM studies, accordingly proposed many improvements thru ESRs, MOCs, new redundant Assets & arranged suitable ready back-ups.

Responsible for detailed study, preparation of Equipment Failure Analysis Report (EFAR).

Review of FEED and identified many points for improvement/corrections.

GIS Experience on 230KV, 115KV, 34.5KV 60Hz ABB Make SF6 Switch Gears Fuji, ABB including 34.5 KV, 13.8KV & 4.16KV Siemens/ABB/Toshiba make VCB switchgears.

Maintenance responsibility of all Motors (up to 4.9 MW, 13.8 KV Scorch-Germany, ABB, Westing House-US, Ansaldo-Italy, Fuji/Toshiba makes) & various VFDs.

Maintenance of Natural Gas (NG) station power supply system for instrument system etc.

Experience on HV/MV/LV multifunction Static Protection Relays like ABB make REF542plus & INSUM-MCU (Smart MCC), Siemens, Toshiba, ABB makes etc.

SAP ERP based scheduled preventive maintenance (OFF Line, ON Line PM) of all Electrical Equipments. KPI is being monitored every week/month for PM.

Also engaged in SF4 ABB relay REF542plus MEU project.

Monitoring & maintenance of ABB make (Model : Power-rich system) SCADA system.

Energy monitoring for SF2 (14 MW), SF3 (16 MW) & SF4 plants (26 MW) including PHD.

MV Relays (13.8KV & 4.16KV) testing, GE make old Transformers Oil filtration, Transformer testing (TTR, Mag. Balance, Excit. Current, Wdg. Resistance, IR & PI, Cap. & Tan δ, SFRA & DFRA test etc.). 4.16 & 480V MCCs & SWGRs including bus ducts shutdown jobs, MV-VCB/contactors & LV ACBs, LV modules, PM, 4.16KV & 480V Emg C/O systems, Emerson make UPS & DC chargers, EDG auto testing & Batteries etc.

SAFCO#5 Plant - 3300TPD Urea (SSD Nov’2017): Completed

Responsible for CM, PM & testing jobs of following –

MV Cables (13.8KV & 4.16KV) testing by IR, PI, DAR, TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry test), VLF PD, VLF Tanδ & Cap., Sheath / Jacket test, Current Signature Analysis (ECSA for Motors), Schneider make Transformers PM and their HV/LV side door locks modification jobs etc.

Time to time independently took charge of Electrical Cell Leader (A) in absence of Cell Leader, whenever required during the S/D period.

SAFCO#4 Plant - 3300TPD (T/A & Reliability Improv. Project, Oct-Nov’2017): Completed

Responsible for CM, PM & Testing jobs of following –

ABB make SF6 GIS 34.5KV CBs, 34.5 & 13.8KV Bus Differential Relays testing (carried out First time), Incomers & Feeder Protection 124nos Relays (ABB REF542+) testing & protection scheme checking/testing as per Relay co-ordination system study along with reacceleration study (ETAP modelling & study done by Kentz-KSA), 34.5KV Interconnection testing with fault finding & rectification, MV & LV SWGR testing, MV PT replacements, ABB VFDs, Schneider make Transformers, Gutor (Schneider) make UPS & EDG Panel PM & Testing, LV panels all capacitors replacement with modification in internal design etc.

Building Construction : Responsible for electrical jobs in new Maintenance Building no.-2 & its offices construction jobs, Substation modification, Building, Roads under SF2, SF3, SF4 & PHD Projects, extension of W/S etc.

After the Reliability Improvement Project SF4 Ammonia plant capacity increased to 3670 TPD, which was the largest in the world (2017).

SAFCO#3 Plant - 1800TPD (T/A Apr 2017): Completed

Key Focal point for finalizing 3 yearly Turn-Around related job scope. Completed independently installation & commissioning of 60MVA, 115/34.5KV New Siemens Transformer in place of old Getra transformer, 34.5KV SWGR and 4.16KV breaker & Relays PM & testing, 34.5/0.48KV 2 MVA transformer replacement job. MV VCB testing, 0.48 KV Feeders & Transformer, MV & LV Motors, Actuators, UPS & EDG (MTU engine) overhauling PM and Testing related to Ammonia, Urea, Utilities. Job includes offline PM, oil filtration/replacement etc.

Was also engaged in 230/115 KV new power project hook-up 2017, with Saipem : Completed

Attended IBB Mini T/A in Nov’2016 : Completed

Replacement of MV PTs, 34.5KV ABB REF630 relays, Power Transformer PM jobs.

SAFCO#2 Plant - 1800TPD (T/A 40 days, Apr-May’2016): Completed

Key Focal point for finalizing 3 yearly Turn Around related job scope. Engaged in 115KV GIS, 13.8KV (HPA type), 4.16KV, 0.48 KV Feeders & Transformer, Relays testing, SWGR PM & testing, MV & LV Motors, Actuators, UPS & EDG PM and Testing related to Ammonia, Urea, Utilities and Product handling plants. Job includes offline PM, oil filtration/replacement (in case of corrosive sulfur), OLTC etc.

SAFCO#4 Plant - 3300TPD (T/A 41 days, Sept-Oct’2015): Completed

Key Focal point for finalizing 3 yearly Turn Around related all the requirements & jobs. Engaged in SF6 Gas replacement in 34.5KV, Relays testing, SWGR PM (VD4) & testing, MV & LV Motors, Actuators, INSUM MCU testing, VFD, UPS & EDG PM & Testing related to Ammonia, Urea, Utilities and Product handling plants.

Attended SAFCO#3 & SAFCO#4 Plants Short shutdown (in 2015) jobs : Completed.

SF#5 Urea Project (2014): Involved in Technical discussions, major load distribution, load shedding schemes of New 3250 TPD Urea project of SF#5, as per management directives.

SAFCO#2 (2014): Successfully installed, commissioned a new transformer of 18.6 MVA, 13.8/4.16KV & Online Changeover done without affecting plant operation.

SAFCO#3 Plant - 1800TPD (T/A 45 days, 2013): Completed

Dedicatedly engaged in 3 yearly Turnaround (Jan-Feb’13) & sole responsibilities are for all types of MV & LV Motors overhauling and offline PM, Local Panels, MOV Actuators, EDG & UPS system etc. MV Motors ON-Line Current Signature Analysis (ECSA).

Also involved in all HV & LV Switch gear jobs & transformer oil replacement, maintenance & testing jobs. Executed Minor project under MOC for installation & commissioning of two new Actuators.

SAFCO#2 Plant - 1800TPD (T/A 50 days, 2013): Completed

Completely engaged in 3 yearly major Turnaround (Apr-May’13) jobs. Solely responsible for all Transformers Life Assessment rated up to 115KV/13.8, 37MVA. Job includes offline PM,
