1993 – 2017-I took on many roles at the Hospital

1993-1996 Medical Records Clerk 2 – I worked the second shift pulling charts for next day clinic appointments and arranging them in clinic order. Transferred to Physicians Reading Room pulling charts for doctors and delivering them to the offices for signatures or dictation. I became a Medical Records Floater working in different areas filling in for employees that were on vacation or called in. Helped at Family Practice Medical Records pulling charts and filling them back.

1996-2007 – I worked in Admitting at the front desk helping patients and patients family with getting financial assistance and directing them to patients room. I assisted in bed control when Emergency calls for admission I had to find a bed for the patient with the appropriate section. I also was promoted to a Admitting floater for the clinics. I worked in all clinics of the University Hospital. My main clinic was Optometry clinic checking in and checking out patients at the Optometry Clinic. Also assisted with the Optometry Techs with Eye testing. 2007-2010 – Optometry Clinic - After My Floating Position at Admitting as a Admitting Specialist. Optometry Clinic hired me at the clinic, checking in and outpatients. I referred all patients to financial assistance to get help with assistance getting the help with appointments at the Optometry Clinic and other appointments they have in the Hospital. I was promoted to front desk lead Clerk/Specialist 3 and assisted Clinic Director with paperwork that needed to be done and assisted with organizing the clinic.

2010-2017 – Centralized Scheduling – This was a new Department, and I was one of the first ones to be trained. This is a call center for the Hospital for appointments. I made all appointments for the hospital taking on 300 or more calls a day. Also called patients to remind them about the upcoming appointments.
