As owner of Ashco Enterprises I was responsible for the success and day to day operations of the company. My primary responsibilities included finding government contracting opportunities, writing proposals, negotiating contracts, sub-contract management, contract administration, invoicing and payments to sub-contractors. Ashco was successful in winning 68 federal government contracts with the DoD for maintenance/repair of the food processing equipment located in Commissaries supporting the Army, navy, Air Force and Marine bases across the Western US. I successfully managed a staff of 7-12 employees who provided the contract support needed. My company was consistently given excellent performance ratings and was highlighted in an article by the Utah Governor’s office of Economic Development.

Along with my husband, I was able to travel to India, Mongolia and West Africa to set up a “Small Business Resource Center” incubator program to help support business programs we brought to the communities. These included:

Pineapple canning facility in Kerala, India

Small dairy and greenhouses importing in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Cashew processing facility in Ivory Coast, West Africa

My responsibility was to develop training materials and teach local groups business skills and English

Cache Valley Community Health Center. (2019-2020) Corporate Grant Specialist I found, wrote, submitted and managed several Grants totaling over 10 Million annually for this 501 (c ) 3 Company located in Providence UT. I love this job but need to find something closer to home.
