Borders was a multimillion dollar company with a total of 700 stores. Each store is a free standing store consisting of 15 to 20 thousand square feet. Borders sell hot off the press books the hottest CD’s and a DVD collection of the most recent movie release.

Regional Loss Prevention Manager 2001-2006

Reduced shrink in the Miami area by 2% lowest in company history. This was done by aggressive auditing, investigations, ORC, Organized Retail Crime and building strong partnerships.

I was responsible for training, auditing 125 Kay Bee Stores. I also conducted professional interviews on direct and indirect employee theft. Out of 125 stores I had 5 Target Stores in which I had to conduct critical store reviews / investigations. The key to my success was building strong partnerships and communication.

Each year I drove the shrink down by .50 by focusing on the high shrink stores and constant communicating with performing stores.

I created awareness videos that were utilized a corporate level and store level.
