Human Resource Manager

As the HR Manager, ensuring that the HR Department is operating smoothly. I oversee several aspects

of the Department: Compliance with Diocese Safe Environment training, Orientation, Payroll, Benefits and the Pension Plan for both Priest and Lay employees. Interact with the different employees to ensure that we are operating at a very high level, that meet the needs of the employees of the Diocese. I began as there HR Coordinator, I was assigned to the Lay Employee Pension Plan. This is an ongoing task that require constant revision, working with outside actuary companies.

Worked as the chief developer of the Assistant Store Manager’s and Service Manager’s by conducting weekly one on one meeting. Reviewed the staffing, record of conversations, attendance issues and a variety of other issues. Had daily and weekly conversation with the non-management employee on career development and long-term goals.

• Ensured the Mentorship program was implemented and that the associate was given the opportunities to prepare for the next step.

Regional Manager, Mankato Army Recruiting (First Sergeant) Apr 2010 to March 2014

Provide Motivation, Direction and Leadership to 23 Human Resources personnel. Conducting daily review with the Center Commander’s, daily interaction with the Quad State Manager.

Chosen to act as First Sergeant due to superior knowledge and command presence. Continued development on all aspects of position on the multiple changes within recruiting environment.

Senior Contract Specialist, US Army Liaison Military Entrance Process Station Fort Meade, MD Jan 2007 to Apr 2010

Senior Contracting Supervisor oversaw a staff of 9 contracting specialist and support staff. Ensured that applicants were medically, morally and mentally fit for enlistment in the US Army.

Average number of contracts written daily is 36, also supervised the shipment of about 20 soldiers to Basic Combat Training during the slow season, but this increased to 45 a day during the summer.

Worked with the Military Entrance Processing Command (MEPCOM) to resolve any issues. Conducted initial investigation of suspected Recruiter Improprieties. Report to Operation Manager, on any discrepancies that might have occurred. Member of the Recruiter partnership Council, consisting of MEPCOM commander and all service branches senior liaison.
