Receiving Manager/Operations Manager, Ashley Furniture

Originally hired on to run the receiving department and was promoted within 12 months to Operations Manager for the distribution center.

Managed logistics for relocating warehouse from Gillingham in Humble to Airtex Rd in Houston, TX. Managed 7 departments, and over 300 employees.

Responsible for keeping inventory accuracy above 98% at all times and stock filled to allow zero backorders by creating futures quarterly reports.

Outsourced deliveries through logistics companies to eliminate insurance expenses, vehicle maintenance and employee insurance that lowered our over-all expenses by 7%. Implemented new working standards that eliminated waste and reduced overtime. Maintained OSHA 9001 certifications.

Ran nationwide store-to-store Zoom meetings with every retail store and distribution center to network problems and alleviate future issues that have already been resolved by other locations.

2004-2008

Receiving Supervisor/PPI Safety Engineer – Baker Hughes – Baker Oil Tools
