I was employed as a Nutrition Assistant. My main job description was to help assemble and deliver meals to patients in a timely manner.
We worked as a team to ensure that all patients had the correct meal. It was crucial to pay attention to every tray because there were many different diets for the patients. They often had food and fluid restrictions and I would discuss food options with the patient that decided to refuse a meal. It was part of my job to entice them to eat.
I was also part of the patient care team and had to inform the Nurse or the Nurse Assistant when a patient needed help with meals. I also had to let them know if a patient was refusing meals or not eating. I delivered and collected their meals and recorded their food and fluid intake into their patient files.
My other responsibilities included restocking refrigerators and informing the supervisor of safety issues, such as, temperatures being too high or about expired products.
Each floor had different instructions and responsibilities and I was trained to work on all the floors.

I worked in the Piedra Vista High School kitchen and was in charge of providing breakfast and lunch for the San Juan College High School students. I made sure that there was enough food and supplies that were being transported to SJCHS from PVHS. SJCHS does not have a kitchen of it's own at this time. I did online training to qualify for the position which was to become a cashier and a manager at SJCHS. I also had paperwork that needed to be filled out on a daily basis and being a salesperson did become part of my job description. I was encouraged to sell our breakfast and lunch to the public. Working for this company included monetary transactions with students, students’ parents and the public who wanted to purchase a meal.

I was hired as a cashier. My duties consisted of stocking, organizing, cleaning and customer service. I was available to work any shift but I mostly worked the overnight shift. Eventually, I began checking in deliveries. The third shift had more responsibilities, such as, filing reports that ended the day. I also had to start the paperwork that would be used to begin the next day's store operations.
