Certified over 1,600 school officials in all 8 Superintendent’s Regions at approximately 30 locations across the Commonwealth.

Our training team provided additional education and resources in rural and urban “food deserts,” locations lacking access to grocery stores and farmers markets. We provided community-based solutions to improve access to affordable, healthy foods including local markets, community gardens, surplus food sharing programs, federal food assistance programs, connections to food pantries and food banks, and the Virginia Harvest of the Month (HOM) program which promotes seasonal eating and increased fruit and vegetable consumption and supports local economies.
