I consistently worked a minimum of 25 hours per week and frequently, when covering vacations, worked 40-hour weeks and more, covering their 7 area outpatient PT clinics. I would obtain prior authorizations from healthcare carriers when it was needed, updated patient data in EPIC (their integrated billing and EMR system) including insurance information, and updated the number of authorized visits. I also checked in patients, scheduled and cancelled patient visits, accepted and processed copayments, gave new patients required forms to fill out and entered their information into the system, opened and closed clinics when scheduled to do so, and assisted therapists when needed.
