Duties at the Devon Research Centre were to facilitate the security needs of the on site building

management operated by Alberta Infrastructure. As well as monitoring gas detection and fire

alarm signals. Issuing visitor and contractor passes. Routine interior and exterior patrols of

facility. Detecting and reporting a variety of maintenance and security issues via written reports

and e-mails to supervisor of operations . Video monitoring of secure zones within facility.

Duties included: Routine internal security patrols of lobby area, all executive & employee office

spaces & washrooms,basement & top floor mechanical core sectors, cafeteria area, 2“ floor

operations center, record storage area, underground parking zones & all stairwells. Routine

exterior perimeter patrols. Monitoring after hours employee entries & exits through swipe card

access, security camera activity. Entering daily activities into log & reporting any suspicious

activity to supervisor & next guard on duty.

Also took part ina emergency response training video in an effort to assist those authorities

involved should any full scale evacuation emergency arise.

Duties included: Disabling internal security alarms & unlocking secured areas for employee

access, securing armored car bays for daily delivery & pick up of bank receipts & funds. Routine

internal & external perimeter patrols. Monitoring security camera areas for suspicious activities,

reporting all daily activity within entry duty log & reporting any suspicious activities to

operational site supervisor

Duties included: Night shift routine internal patrols which covered lobby area, all employee

zoned areas & all other non customer accessible areas. Routine external secure fleet vehicals &

product supply areas. Maintaining a daily log journal & reporting any suspicious activities to site

supervisor,
