PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
● Assisted in the orientation of patients at three clinics.
● Demonstrated proficiency in taking patient medical histories and vital signs, as well as in performing venipunctures, injections and various diagnostic procedures and ancillary tests; asthma machines, ear irrigation procedures (e.g., EKGs, immunoassays, chemistry analysis, hematology, urinalysis). Retrieved missing tests from Hospitals BIO and Lab Corp Systems.
● Screened charts for needed routine lab tests and completed appropriate forms to facilitate this process as much as possible for the practitioner.
● Utilized the NST machine to monitor baby/mom and to record them on the list time in/out with chart number. Ensured that providers checked the patient's NST before releasing the patient. Also assisted with postpartum follow ups.
● Functioned as a team member by working directly with nurses, practitioners, medical doctors, health educators, and other members of the health team to coordinate the smooth flow of the clinic.
● Ensured the cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance of all facilities, exam rooms and equipment.
● Maintained an orderly well-stocked examination room and conducted periodic inventory, as well as, ordering necessary supplies.
● Assisted in emergency measures by knowing the location of emergency equipment.
● Assisted the physicians with the following procedures in the GYN Department: annual, problems, Cryo, surgery wound care removal, Assist with Colpos, Pap smears, wart removals, also (bioFreeze) and with biopsy sent to Laboratories.
