University of Southern California (USC) December 2019 Graduate program in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM University) May 2016 Bachelors in Electronics and Communications Engineering. COURSEWORK

Operating systems, Computer & Wireless Networks, Internet computing, Broadband architecture, Design & analysis of data communication networks, Microprocessors and Interfaces, Radiofrequency (RF) communication systems. WORK EXPERIENCE

Qualcomm Incorporated – 5G SW Applications Engineer - San Diego March 2020 – Present

As a technical assistant to Qualcomm's global customers, we address several issues which are critical to 5G-NR feature commercialization. Referring to Source code (in ‘C’) to understand and implement feature optimizations.

Debugging NSA, SA, Sub-6, mm-wave protocol, and performance issues from the (Access Stratum) L1, L2, and L3 (PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP) layer point of view. Addressed protocol & performance issues include throughput, RRC, thermal mitigation, OFDM, MIMO, Carrier aggregation beamforming related, etc.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, actively engaging with numerous OEM engineers to conduct thorough root cause analysis, joint debugging sessions, and perform lab testing utilizing Keysight lab (UXM) equipment. Qualcomm Incorporated – Embedded System Software Intern (WIFI 6) - San Jose May 2019 - August 2019

Creating multiple traffic flows with different 5-tuples terminating at the host and determine that the rules are being correctly created and applied to the packets in those flows.

Obtaining stats using Net-link sockets. Firmware cleanup at the driver modules.

Enhance the way statistics look that can be used by clients to check network performance issues. Cognizant Technology Solutions – Software Programming Analyst - IOT - Hyderabad November 2016 - October 2017

• SW implementation using IOT. My responsibilities include working with Raspberry pi and Arduino microcontrollers to develop smart home applications that can enhance workplace environment. ACADEMIC SOFTWARE PROJECTS

Wee nix Kernel Programming:

Developed a UNIX based operating system - Wee nix 2.8.0. Implemented using C programming language. Kernel 1: Implemented bootstrap function by setting up processes, threads, and synchronization primitives. Kernel 2: Developed a Virtual File System to handle read/write/open/close file system calls. Kernel 3: Implemented virtual memory and performed address translation. Developed a reliable file transfer protocol using UDP over a lossy WAN link based on QUIC protocol:

Designed an FTP over UDP under L2 & L3 (MAC and Network layer) by enforcing reliability and transferring large files of size 1GB over 20% lossy links with high throughput.

Verified on DETERLAB Emulator. Implemented using C programming language. Kernel hacking:

Modified exponential back-off algorithm and slow start phase by restructuring the Linux kernel module to optimize the TCP congestion control method, resulting in an increased throughput of 6.5Mbps on a 100Mbps link with 20% loss and 200ms delay. Socket Programming (Distributed Lookup Service):

Designed a lookup service to implement dictionary word requests from a client.

3 backend Servers are used behind the central server over TCP and UDP connections. Token Bucket Emulation:

Emulated a token bucket filter to regulate packet flow in a switched network. Implemented using ‘C’ POSIX multithread with mutex and signal handlers. Comprehensive statistics were computed to track the progress in enhancing throughput following the completion of individual instance.
