OBJECTIVE:

To pursue a challenging career in the field of Medical Technology or Medical Lab Scientist, where my skills and capabilities are used for the development of the organization and better patient care. Seeking a career in field of Nursing with my RN licensure.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:

Associate MLT from Southwest TN College, Memphis TN, United States August 2008. (NAACLS and State of TN Approved Program)

Clinical Laboratory Internship from Feb’ 2008 to Aug’ 2008 at different hospitals in Memphis Metropolitans area like Methodist Hospital, Baptist Hospital, St. Jude Children’s Hospital in the department of Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology (Blood Bank), Microbiology, Urinalysis and Coagulation.

WORK SUMMARY:

Performing Therapeutic and Diagnostic Testing, Assisting Doctors in diagnosis of various diseases in the above-mentioned departments.

WORK SETTING:

Performed in small and large acute care, critical care, teaching institute hospital lab which are approved by CAP and AABB. Also worked in Neonatal and Trauma Lab settings where the work load is more critical, ensure the viability, sterility and testing condition of the specimen per a hospital and diagnostic policies.

Examples of Testing done:

Chemistry: CMP, BMP, RFP, Liver Panel.

Hematology: CBC, Retics, Blood Smear (Cell differential and complex cell identification), Anemia study, Bone marrow.

Blood Bank: ABO Rh, T&S, Rhogam study, Setup and ID antibody panel, cross match blood for surgery patients and perform sickle screen and fetal maternal smear (KB Test).

Microbiology: Inoculate and ID organism in various specimen in the media setup. Compare the sensitivity and resistance of the microorganism to antibiotics for patients.

Lab Instruments like Siemens, Coulter, Vista, Stago, Provue, Iris diagnostic.

Trouble shooting and maintenance of the lab instruments.

QC and calibrate the instruments and the reagent before testing.

Reporting results in a timely efficient and professional manner ensuring accuracy.

Co-ordination with Doctors and Nurses on critical results for better patient care.

Successful results on unknown assays and surveys sent by CAP and AAP.
