GLAC Project is designed for achieving efficient distribution and movement of finished Johnson and Johnson products across countries. The application gives a whole integrated view of key information about Sales, Trade Spend, Inventory, Shipments, Consumption, Quota, Contracts, Share and Service metrics across Master Product, Payer, Provider, Geography, Data Centers, Customer and Retailers structures. This system is widely used by the J&J Business Analysts, Financial Analysts, and Customer Logistics development team, Excellence, Strategic Customer Group, Sales Strategy Marketing Group, along with Business Users and Third party brokers. Currently there are over 100+ users using this system on a daily basis.
The Sales, Inventory and item shipment details are obtained from various Supply chain ERP systems (SAP ROTC, JDEOW) and the shipment and logistic information are derived from various external carriers like Fedex, DHL etc and other logistic systems. A data model is created by integrating the information from the ERP and logistic systems and the same is used for Business Reporting.
This will be the single standard system enabling J&J business personnel and customers to review track & analyze Sales, Shipments, Consumption, Contracts and Inventory across different DC’s along with understanding the demands. This System is getting ready for next generation analytics to enable quick analysis, visualization and sharing. This in-deed changes the business perspective towards the data, provides better view to solve problems, and implement action based insights.

They are Daily Sales Report, Company Sales Dashboard, Company Supply Chain Dashboard, GTS to NTS by distributor by Sales Area report and Finance Price Point Variance (PPT) report. Reports are comparison between FBP values come from Flat files and Actual Values from the RDW. Flat files are loaded in to RDW Datawarehouse tables using Cognos Data Manager Jobs. Existing Framework Model is changed according to the new report requirements and Package is published to the cognos Portal. Cognos Report Studio Reports are developed using the package or Power play Cubes.

AIG utilizes reinsurance to transfer risk throughout its insurance operations. The governance of this risk transfer is encapsulated by the treaty contract or the facultative certificate (contracts). Currently, contracts are stored in a variety of mediums throughout the AIU and Commercial Insurance organizations. The most prolific medium is Treaty History, which provides key information about the treaties, going back more than 40+ years. The purpose of the iReContract project is to provide a central repository for all contracts and to make key information available to all operations involved in the risk transfer process (underwriting, claims, accounting, audit, regulatory and statutory reporting, global reinsurance division and executive management).
IReContract system will be sponsored for deployment by the Global Reinsurance Division and be available to all authorized business units able to access AIG’s intranet. It is compliant with AIG’s strategic architecture (which is a combination of IBM Content Manager with a Pega workflow component) as well as its technical standards for architecture, security (roles based), disaster recovery and business continuity.

Cognos Decision stream is used with SAP to support many business processes in Panasonic, mainly in area of Finance and sales by Providing Data marts to analyze the data. There are 4 data marts developed by Panasonic namely Sales mart, Inventory mart, Account receivables and General ledger. Source for this Data warehouse are the flat files because SAP version 3.1H is not compatible with decision Stream. ABAP programs are written to extract data to flat files. Every night jobs will run at SAP end to extract data for flat files and ftp’d to the cognos server. Once the files are updated Decision stream jobs will start to update the daily data in the data warehouse. Cognos Impromptu is used for Standard Reports. Multidimensional cubes are developed using Power play Transformer.
