Serves as the 434th Field Artillery Brigade Surgeon, TRADOC Organic Medical Structure (TOMS) OIC, and Troop Medical Clinic (TMC) OIC. Acts as the senior medical advisor to the brigade commander, responsible for the healthcare and medical readiness of over 1,000 cadre and an annual throughput of 20,000 future Soldiers. Evaluates medical fitness for duty of members, analyzes medical and physical conditions of patients, and treats and reconditions patients, to meet the Army’s mission. Advise the commander and members of the staff on all medical matters pertaining to the command. Ensures the Brigade remains medically trained and ready to deploy worldwide in response to any contingency operations. Serves as senior advisor to BCT providers and medical support personnel by training, mentoring, developing policies, protocols, and procedures for medical care and treatment within the organization.

Served as the BN TRADOC Organic Medical Support (TOMS) Family Nurse Practitioner advised the BN CDR and staff on all matters relating to Health Service Support (HSS) and Force Health Protection. Plans HSS activities and integrates them into the Basic Combat Training (BCT) mission to achieve the Commander’s Intent and mission objectives. Advised the CDR on all measures necessary to maintain positive trends or correct negative trends and support studies and research. Maintains professional relationships with Military Treatment Facility (MTF) and Troop Medical Clinic (TMC) staff. Maintains credentialing and privileges with the servicing MTF. Provides oversight, training and supervision of MOS qualifications and credentialing of all assigned 68W’s and ancillary staff.
