Hancock Whitney Bank

Duties consist of reviewing and underwriting conventional mortgage loan applications submitted by Loan Originators at Hancock Whitney Bank

The responsibility of the underwriter is to ensure all documentation is provided and following all investor guidelines, compliance and AUS findings

Knowledge of the loan programs, overlays, red flags, compliance and structuring of loans is necessary to provide qualified decisions to approve or decline files

Files are reviewed to meet qualified guidelines, review income, assets, potential fraud, meet compliance and AUS findings for loan approval

The file is conditioned for required documentation from the borrower then returned to the loan officer and processor to fulfill the required conditions

When all documentation, guidelines and conditions have been met, the underwriter may then give final loan approval

Notes with daily file records were required.

REMOTE SR. MORTGAGE UNDERWRITER 07/2020 to 09/2020

First Financial Bank

Duties consisted of a full review for mortgage loans

This included reviewing required documentation of income, assets, and appraisals according to program guidelines and for accuracy

Also, communicating with the processors, compliance, and loan officers to resolve any outstanding issues or discuss the AUS findings

Once all guidelines and conditions had been met the underwriter would review and issued final approval or denial while making sure to meet the required deadlines

Notes with daily file records were required

An average of 2-3 loans plus resubmissions were reviewed per day.

REMOTE: CUSTOMER SERVICE REP/ICO 06/2019 to 02/2020

Advantage Credit

Duties were producing credit supplements for the credit reports for various mortgage companies and their potential borrowers

Communication with lenders and brokers for the supplement requests, contacting creditors directly via fax, email or phone, plus conducting conference calls with the borrowers and their creditors to verify information required to produce the accurate credit supplement

Originally worked in the ICO department for 2 weeks prior to CSR which was incoming calls and handling application corrections, assisting in pulling of credit reports for lenders and directing calls to correct locations.

American Financing Corporation

Duties consisted of entering the front underwriter's queue's, clearing documentation leaving upfront underwriters with only assets, title, and appraisal for review

This also included double checking of documentation previously cleared by the front underwriters, (income, assets etc.), and addressing of any errors

Other duties consisted of reviewing processing issue files to see if we could move them forward to be approved for mortgage loans

REMOTE CTC UNDERWRITER 01/2013 to 01/2015

(Clear to Close/QC) Department: Duties consisted of final review of existing or missing required documentation and conditioning of each loan file prior to closing

This also included detail correction of any errors within the file

Knowledge of loan programs, guidelines, state lending rules and updates were a constant factor

Upon completion of initial review, account managers and underwriters were notified of any corrections required, and once completed the file was returned to CTC department for final review

The file was not allowed to close until all corrections were completed and cleared by CTC

This enabled all closed loans to be purchased quickly, enabling a higher company volume

Department responsibilities were dispersed to the underwriters and all CTC personnel went to Operations Support Pods

The responsibilities were to assist account managers and underwriters in obtaining/updating of required documentation in the process field and verifying accuracy of documentation for underwriters

High production & task completion volume was required.

SET UP PROCESSOR/PRE-UNDERWRITER 09/2011 to 03/2012

Metlife Home Loans

Duties consisted of set up, disclosure, and preparation of all required and legal documentation for submission of all new loan application packages

Upon returned of documentation it was necessary to verify all documentation was correct and DTI/LTV fit loan programs as a pre-underwrite

Trailing Docs: Contracted to re- underwrite and scrub mortgage loan portfolios associated to various clients involved in litigation

Clients included either plaintiff or defendant in such cases, and included projects for high profile, well-known mortgage investment companies

Duties included input into testing system from documentation in file, and testing of evidenced documentation

Both automated and manual forms of re-underwrite were required for the Retail/Wholesale divisions
