Richard has extensive functional hands-on experience in Test Operations, Product Engineering, Quality Engineering & Management, Process Engineering, Research & Development (DFT&DFM), Test Equipment and ATE applications Management, Software Analytics, and Country Management. He is a very experienced, creative, and seasoned technocrat and operations executive in the realm of Semiconductor, automobile electronics (PCBA/SMT), equipment manufacturing, and computer peripherals businesses are where these abilities and knowledge were acquired. He has over 30 years of professional experience, 17 of which were spent working for semiconductor and electronics companies outside of his native country The Philippines. In these industries, he designed, developed, and implemented procedures, organizational policies, and practices for the achievement of operating goals.

He previously held engineering and leadership positions at ON Semiconductor as a BU Product Engineering Manager, Philips Semiconductor as a Test and Product Engineering Manager, Daimler Chrysler Electronic Division as a Quality Engineering Manager, and engineering positions at Analog Devices in the United States (MA), Seagate Technologies in Thailand (BKK), Zilog in Batam Island, and Intel Corporation (T9 Manila).

He worked in Sydney Australia-based Silverbrook Research, which specializes in Semiconductor, Electronics, and related industries (EV) research and development and pilot manufacturing, from 2007 until 2012 as the Test Operations Manager. During his time there, he oversaw the management of specialized parts, new product introduction of various invention and research production test at Silverbrook Research, He oversaw the procurement of machinery, materials, and subcontractors as well as high-volume manufacturing, which included managing the infrastructure needed to process the parts.

He served as the director of two probe card manufacturing firms from 2013 to 2017: Smart Probe

(Philippines) and V-Probes (Vietnam). These high-tech start-up firms provide service, and support for testing and manufacturing requirements of semiconductor wafer test operations. He relocated to Hong Kong from 2018 to 2021 working with NEXPERIA Semiconductors as the Sr Product Manager. Due to COVID-19 issues and restrictions in HK, Macao and China bay area, he went back to Philippines and accepted an offer to be the Director of Product Management & Development for all Northstar Technologies HK Ltd.’s products, which includes the Tester, Strip Handler, Interface Solutions, Training /Documentation and Software Analytics Business Units.
