Jonathan Thomas Clark

I have seventeen years of experience in Mass Communications Media Production, specifically Audio Engineering, and Broadcast Production. I Graduated with Honors from Jackson State University in 2015, with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications, and a Minor in Emergency Management Technology.

Work on Campus: WJSU 88.5 FM: I interned and trained under WJSU Chief Engineer Dale Morris from August 2011 until May of 2015. By the third month of my internship and volunteer work, I was given the title of Production Assistant, and offered a position. I have worked part time weekly for the last five years as a DoD Authorized Emergency Communications Radio Operator for the DoD USAF Military Auxiliary Radio System. II initially got involved into cybersecurity through volunteering in the DoD MARS program after being trained by FEMA at Jackson State University to become Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) Certified in 2015, I recently joined the City of Brandon CERT Team under Mike Hamilton. Currently I am a member of the 117th Military Police Company Rapid Response Team in Jackson, MS serving under the Mississippi Military Department to patrol and secure Federal Property and National Guard Assets. I have a Geneva Conventions ID, and in June will be certified Military Law Enforcement.

The project required me to go onsite in remote areas and upgrade the cellular 4G alarm transmitters used at various sites in and around the city of Jackson, MS.

Assistant under WJSU Chief Engineer Dale Morris. My daily tasks were to record and edit interviews for the 5:00 pm news, edit daily Associated Press soundbites, and load them into the rotation table. In addition, I had to schedule meetings, record ISDN, and in house station studio sessions, and perform all engineering operational aspects of WJSU 88.5 FM.

*Dreamtime Productions LLC - I successfully ran my business a class A recording studio called Dreamtime Productions LLC from July 2004 - May 2011, before returning to Jackson State University to finish my Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications. Daily tasks included scheduling clients, bookeeping, balancing the budget, and recording musicians and bands in the studio. On some projects additonal recording engineers were needed, such as Producer and Owner of Welcome to 1979 Recording Studio, Chris Mara. I transferred analog multi-track tapes for clients to digital for archiving, and voice over for radio commercials with 1 minute, 30 second, and 45 second commercial duration edit, with slate tone. Soundtrack design and composition for Voice Over Narration for books on Audio. Other projects included Forensic archiving of 1/4 inch analog tape from the 1960's and 70's by using Audio Engineering Society standards to dehydrate tape to restore its playback in order to transfer the original analog recordings. I have been a Voting Member of the Audio Engineering Society since 2011. Professional Audio Engineering and music production have been a part of my daily skillset in working with clients while I owned Dreamtime Production LLC. Most of my work as a small business owner, involved recording musical acts, and artists. In 2010 I produced artist Bradley Biard and the album made the top 100 worldwide on iTunes in 2010 and 2011.

I Worked as an Apple Authorized Desktop and Powerbook Service Technician from June 1999 until August of 2003. Daily tasks included ordering parts, warranty, and onsite Apple Desktop and Powerbook service and support. I was sponsored by User Friendly for the Apple Certified Macintosh Technician exam when I was hired. I became certified by Apple two months after starting at User Friendly.
