Early Direct Deposit (EDD) is a checking account feature that provides access for customers to their paychecks upto two days early. This is a free feature offered to all Ally bank customers with a checking account. EDD allows customers to have access to their money early which helps bridge the gap when bills are due around paycheck time. EDD helps customers avoid accidentally overdrafting, potential late fees for bills or simply running their account too low before their next paycheck.

Project: CoverDraft

CoverDraft is a fee free safety net which helps customers avoid an overdraft fee by covering transactions upto $250 above their account balance. CoverDraft provides temporary overdraft coverage and eliminates confusion and stress for customers if they accidentally overdraft. CoveDraft is designed to make overdraft protection more inclusive and easier to understand. If customers overdraft their account, CoverDraft kicks in and allows transactions to go through up to the $250 limit. Customers then have up to 2 weeks to bring their account balance back in good standing. This provides an additional layer of security for customers. Project: Spending Buckets

Spending Buckets are a free and fun new way to build better money habits. Similar to digital envelopes, Spending Buckets help customers stash money aside to manage their expenses. This is a free feature offered to all Ally bank customers with a checking account. With this feature, customers can create a bucket for anything they use their checking account. Buckets can be set up for fixed expenses like internet bills and mortgage or variable expenses like grocery or shopping. Customers can indicate how much they need and how often. Once customers receive a deposit, money is automatically moved to the respective bucket(s).
