Process Improvement
Developed and implemented the first provincial transport policy framework adopted by the department
Undertook Transport Situation and Needs analysis (audit of rolling stock) for pool vehicles and government subsidized motor transport. We managed to develop vehicle database, profiled our fleet and presented the first departmental updated inventory which helped to model the ideal fleet needed by the department, an exercise which has seen the reduction of fleet and subsequently the operational costs. This was also used as a baseline in determining the needs and budget for transport.
Undertook the first asset verification exercise (audit of rolling stock) which assisted to account for all existing transport resources and determine an ideal fleet model. This helped in the development of a policy framework and rolling replacement plan for all kinds, make and models of vehicles cutting across all the districts.
