Objective

To be a key member of the Senior Management team of a medium to large manufacturing organization, utilizing my manufacturing management experience and abilities in identifying problems and process reengineering. This will lead to improved productivity, reduced customer complaints and increased growth.

Key Competencies

-Planning & Organization - Team Leadership

-Operations Management - Problem Solving & Crisis Management

-Customer & Vendor Relations - Implementing Policies & Procedures

-TS16944/ISO 9000 - VA/VE, 5S, Lean.

Qualifications & Accomplishments

A seasoned and successful Executive Manager with over 30 years of experience in high-quality automotive parts manufacturing, extensive knowledge of quality programs and process engineering, and an excellent record of meeting or exceeding customer expectations, leading to the following selected accomplishments:

Leading a cross-function team to develop a SR&ED recovery over five years. Identified the requirements set out by SR&ED standards to ensure that we attained maximum return. We achieved $3,500,000.00 from our SR&ED claims. In one particular year we recovered $900,000.00, which was the result of several innovative programs that were launched.

Initiated and coordinated the implementation of TS16949 company wide. Allocated necessary personnel to facilitate and generate the documentation and procedures. We approached this by setting up procedures that represented what “we say is what we do.” We implemented all policy and procedures and developed standard policies the throughout the organization. We received. r certification for TS16949 and commended the team and company for all their efforts.

Restructured and relocated the facility. Administered all designs and engineering of the plant, from electrical, mechanical, and developing a process flow of material and product throughout the plant, “FIFO” system. Completion of this project enabled the company to generate increased sales from $15,000,000.00 to $24,000,000.00 and vastly higher efficiencies.

Developed and implemented two shot moulding, which is 2 different materials being chemically bonded together on a single moulding machine. Customer requested assistance in developing this product, which was a seat belt buckle, as this type of process was new to the market. I reengineered the part and evaluated varied materials to meet their requirements. The company was awarded the programs which resulted in increased sales of $750,000.00 per year.

Negotiated substantial decreases on our raw material prices. Reviewed future requirements from customers and executed a detailed plan based on volume rebates. Managed to achieve a $0.70 per kg. reduction, which translated to $500,000.00 saving per year.
