Aftermath Business Intelligence LLC - Founder (AfterMathBI.com)

November 2015- Present Minneapolis, MN.

●Consultant for Wells Fargo for vulnerability analysis. Using Qualys data and internal data we created varies aging and “naughty list” reports by business line highlighting Emergency fixed that are past due. We did this employing Tableau and Power BI and SQL Server as the backend.

●Developed Power BI reports to manage operation risk for Wells. Features included custom search functionality, multiple drill throughs and conditional formatting to make sure the reports are actionable. Switched from on premise to Azure SQL server and security. Employed shared data sets within PBI to insure consistent data amongst reports.

●Architect for Power BI service for The Nexxus Group. Included setting up the gateway, creating guest user accounts, creating apps for each of their 30 tenants with the proper guest account security at the application layer. Setup of daily automated refreshes. Created Azure AD guest accounts for our external users.

●Converted all HR and Payroll Cognos reports to Power BI for Kindercare. Because of the sensitive nature of the data I employed row level and object level security. We did this based on AD roles, but also designed it for the user level if need be. We employed Azure SQL Server and 365 security.

We used Azure data factory to use a pipeline to go from text file to Azure Blob to Azure Data Lake employing linked services., Datasets, storage account, container and the copy activity.

We also used error logic using validation activity and ADF triggers

to automate the process. Finally data step is to copy the data to Azure SQL which PBI consumes the data from.

●Created a displacement equipment tracking system for Wells Fargo programmed in C# using Fedex API calls and a list of employees and their equipment we tracked the timely return of equipment for managers review. We allowed managers to filter by aging and the solution was SSRS that automatically filtered results by the login of the manager.

●Created Log4J senior management reporting for vulnerability. Major time sensitive / high profile project that we released within a week.

●Created a tabular vulnerability model using SSAS and provided self service for users either using Power BI or Excel.

●While consulting for a major hearing technology firm, I researched and recommended the purchase of a third party Audiologist mailing list to perform market research.

●Created a geomap showing audiologists they currently had (using fuzzy logic based on name and address to determine who on the list was already a customer) and the remainder which are opportunities. Employed SQL Server, SSIS and Power BI.

●Created an algorithm to find the closet sales representative based on their territory and the address of audiologists that they currently did not have a contract with.

●Based on the data, we loaded x leads into their CRM system daily.

●Tracked the results of the calls. Ensured the sales team was making the calls, tracked the results and reported on the success of the program.

●Created dashboards for a major insurance firm using Power BI and SQL Server to manage operations (enrollment and contracts) and claim trends based on demographics, claim type, geography, spend etc.

●Developed a cloud based solution employing Azure ADF (converted from a SQL DB) as the backend and Tableau geomap as the front end for a major real estate company to enable them to visualize their properties (size of circle was the price – shading was how long on the market). Loaded in MLS for comparison and used a different color to identify their properties vs the competition.

Designed and developed custom solutions:

●Designed and implemented a 40 Terabyte data warehouse from scratch using 40 different data sources employing Informatica, SSIS, SPROCS, SSAS / Essbase, and SSRS.

●Saved $10 million by implementing a custom Planning, Forecasting, and Financial Reporting System by using Essbase and SQL server as the backend and utilizing existing software / hardware. Used by more than 20,000 employees. Employed C# and Click Once to insure version control.

●Employed Essbase and MSBI for self-service dashboards.

●Big Data self-service dashboards to allow end users to visually digest their numbers and drill into the details to understand trends.

●Managed the implementation of an AP and FA self-service inquiry system (SQL backend and .net C# / SSRS front end). Reduced help desk calls by over 70%.

●Designed / Developed / Managed the implementation of a Legal eMatter system to manage all litigation, reporting, exceptions and actual auto payment to firms. Autopay uses the LEDES standard in formatting from the firms. Front end was developed in C#.

●Implemented an eInvoice system that transformed a paper AP invoice process to a 100% automated, auditable and efficient process. Reduced cycle times dramatically. Over 1 billion dollars goes through this system today. Designed, developed, managed the project and continual improvement. (SQL server, C# and SSRS)

●Managed / developed the relationship management system with scorecards for all loan officers and loan officer managers to gain insight into our relationships at an overall customer level (ie not simply account level)
