• Monitor EKG changes on patients. Notify changes to the care team.

• Administer medications ordered.

• Administer medications through oral, buccal, sublingual, rectal, intravenously, subcutaneous, and intramuscular.

• Monitor critical drips administered through IV pumps and document.

• Place foley when ordered when patient meets criteria. Document placement per EMR.

• Monitor patient intake and output. Document.

• Giving verbal report to nurses taking over patient care for both the floor and shift change.

• Educate patients from the moment care starts to discharge or handoff on condition, medications, and plan of care.

• Open communication with both patient and doctor on plan of care, results, and changes.

• Communicating with care team on any patient critical lab notifications and documenting information exchange.

• Administering Blood products to patient based on orders.

• Ensuring patient has consent on file for various procedures such as conscious sedation, reduction, Spinal cord tap, blood transfusions, intubation.

• Setting up the room for emergent situation. Set up that includes suction, oxygen, crash cart, intubation supplies, various oxygenating supplies.
