I have been a nurse's assistant for 17 years. I became certified in May of 2014 through East Central College in Union, MO. Years before becoming a NA/CNA, I had done many things, as I wanted to experience many things. I was a cashier at a grocery store, I worked in a factory trimming hat strings from hats. Then onto a toy factory to trim plastic Bruyere (sp?) Horses to get ready for painting. That line was closed down and I went on the line to put lightening bug toys together. Somewhere during this time, I also worked for American Recreation Products (Kellwood) on a sewing line. I have also worked for Greenfield Research on a sewing line. After that, I went to work at a grocery store deli where I became manager. I, at the same time, went to work at a local winery in the tasting room and deli room. So, I have dealt with customer service and complaints. I later went on to work at the local Hardee's, where I became assistant manager. I scheduled staff, did bank runs, employee time, and the advertisement.
I also carry with me a lot of common sense, something my parents instilled in me a long, long time ago. I like to complete jobs and not leave them for someone else to do. I like to be firm, fair, and consistent, whether I am in management or not. I also learn very quickly. And am willing to learn new things at any given time.
I just wanted to give you a better look at what sort of life experiences I've had. I truly hope it will help give a different perspective of me.
Thank you for taking the time read a little bit about me. Lisa A. Schatz
