CURRENT DUTIES ON PALLIATIVE CARE TEAM: I am a member of an award winning Palliative Care Team that provides consultations to patients experiencing life-limiting or serious medical conditions and those in need of complex pain and symptom management. I work with both academic and private practice physician groups of varied specialties. Educating and mentoring medical residents as well as nurses and advanced practice nurses is part of my daily practice. I am skilled in physical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of complex illness, prognostication, counseling and facilitation of Goals of Care planning and End of Life decision-making discussions. I am also quite adept at facilitating the transition from curative to palliative and end of life care. I enjoy collaboration with various specialties and working closely with multidisciplinary team members. Both are essential to my provision of excellent care.
