MANAGERIAL/TEACHING/MINISTERIAL EXPERIENCE

Ordained/licensed minister, doing individual jail ministry/counseling with incarcerated individuals. Responsibilities including helping men & women deal with problems involved with incarceration, transitioning back into society, helping with family issues, helping with court and probation, drug and financial counseling.

Organization and maintenance of successful dog breeding home-based business from 1997 to present, including responsibility for selection of dogs, dog breeding schedules, whelping and raising puppies, maintenance of website and Facebook page, customer service before, during and after the sale, breeding records, proper diets and care for all stages of life.

Assisted husband, helping him to transition to a different life after a debilitating Traumatic Brain Injury in 1998.

Assisted in caring for two at-home Senior Dementia/Alzheimer’s disease family members, helping to care for full range of needs from feeding to personal hygiene. Duties including making sure that medical transitions were facilitated, including IV medications as necessary. Worked with all stages of Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease from 2002 until 2014.

Taught adult students at National College of Business & Technology. Responsibilities including teaching Microsoft Office®, Medical Transcription, Medical Office Finances, Medical Office Procedures, Calculation and Administration of Medications, Preparatory English, Preparatory Keyboarding, Keyboarding 1 and Document Processing, as well as teaching adult students computer keyboard, document and letter processing, proofreading and punctuation, basic English and grammar skills, transcription skills, refresher math skills, drug calculation, medical coding and medical office management skills.

Organization and maintenance of homeschool, including total responsibility for ordering curriculum, teaching all subjects including use of home computer, and keeping records of academic progress.

Therapeutic foster/adoptive parent, working with special needs children of all ages. Responsibilities including helping children overcome traumatic or chaotic experiences in their past to become emotionally stable adults, and acting as child advocate with social service agencies and birth parents for the children’s benefit.

Youth Group Leader and Children’s Education Director. Responsibilities including designing curriculum, driving church bus to youth camps and other events, supervising youth as counselor at week-long camps, overseeing youth/children’s activities and acting as liaison between parents and church staff, organizing workers for regular services and special meetings.

Member of church worship team. Responsibilities including learning and transposition of music as necessary to accommodate the French horn, prepare for specials as necessary, mastery and use of shofar in services as needed, and organizing and leading youth band.
