ARCADIAN PROJECTS INC April 2019 – Ongoing

Rejoined Arcadian Projects as their Business Manager help the family owned Multi-Trade Construction Company as it took next steps in its growth. Initially worked with the owners to recruit and hire a new Controller.

Took on a mentorship role when a new Controller was hired in late 2019

Took on primary role as internal contact for Banking, External Accounting, Insurance, Vehicle acquisition and financing.

Key support role assisting principal owner in ongoing and new business projects and new opportunities.

PERTH ENVIRONMENTAL INC August 1918 – March 2019

Returned to the family owned agricultural based company to help develop a marketing strategy for the sale of animal/vegetable based oils to the animal feed industry

Worked with the owners to start the marketing program for animal/vegetable oils including the shipment of products by truck and rail to customers in both eastern Canada and the U.S.

ZEHR GROUP November 2017- August 2018

The Zehr Group is a family owned Real Estate Development and Construction Company

located in Kitchener, Ontario. I joined their team in late November as a Process Consultant.

The group is growing and undergoing a number changes and wanted me to look at how they

operated their business, how they carried out various internal tasks, the roles people had and

how the performed their jobs. I looked at staffing levels and am working to bring the proper

alignment to most efficiently handle the tasks at hand.

I advanced the formation of the Corporate Joint Health and Safety Committee and

coordinated training for the committee

I facilitated internal meetings to provide the outside view and perspective while allowing

the group to freely discuss the business at hand.

Currently working on anew Operations Manual for Zehr Levesque the groups construction

arm.

Currently working on the addition of two significant software modules to the construction

Company’s computer system, coordinating the implementation and handling troubleshooting

startup challenges.

ARCADIAN PROJECTS INC. 2014- 2017

Arcadian Projects is a family owned Multi-Trade Contracting company focusing on Solar, Electrical and Lighting. I Joined Arcadian in November of 2014 as Business Manager. The owner of the company had just completed the buyout of a partner and was looking for an experienced manager to help him deal with the Administrative and Financial aspects of the business.

Major roles at Arcadian included oversight of the bookkeeping and payroll aspects of the business. As the business grew my role also involved being the key in house Administrative contact for external Accounting, Banking, Insurance relationships.

During my time at Arcadian I was responsible for financial statement preparation for both internal and external use. Yearend files for external accountants were also prepared by me.

During the past year I also worked closely with the Director of Business Development and Sales with particular emphasis on the Lighting portion of the business, overseeing project quotes, rebate submissions and bid applications.

Worked with the owner on some of his personal business matters and other nonrelated business activities.

Working with a foodproducts based recycling company in Western Ontario

Provided accounting and payroll services as well as management support to this family owned business.

RES/OP TECHNOLOGIES INC. 2009-2010

Worked with a Winnipeg, Canada based new technology company engaged in the high temperature organic waste conversion business. Providing Financial, Business Development and Marketing as this new technology company struggled through the many challenges of new business development, financing and initial sales. While leading the Business Development activities of this company I was also providing management guidance and mentoring to the company’s staff. The major owner of this organization had very restrictive concepts for necessary additional corporate funding that was very difficult to satisfy based on the early stage position of the company and its technology that was only in full size prototype phase.

ATWOOD PET SUPPLIES LIMITED 2007-2009

Acting as a financial consultant to a business entity as they successfully progressed through a project to integrate a new phase to their business operation. This included preparation and submission of a federal-provincial grant application for a waste to energy solution for the enterprise. Provided guidance as they integrated the new operation into their existing operations. Providing financial guidance and project reporting and control to assure successful implementation of the project within the guidelines of the grant protocols.

ABP RECYCLING INC. June 2000-November 2006

A privately owned company based in Hamilton, Ontario. The company is a division of Sanimax Inc. a Quebec based animal by-products company and the largest rendering company in Canada. ABP acts as the Ontario arm of the company providing collection services for animal products in the province and is a stepping stone for a number of proposed ventures in the province.

General Manager Ontario

Position initially brought two existing operations together with two new operations acquired in May of 2000. The goal was to create a base infrastructure in Ontario to efficiently operate the four current operations and create a platform for a number of future operations that are planned for the region.

Responsible at divisional level for interim financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

Integrated operations to a single base operation located in Hamilton. Played a major role in the coordination of construction of the new facility.

In the fall of 2005 coordinated the acquisition and integration of an operating company in a related industry to the company’s existing operations. This multimillion dollar acquisition involved the integration of approximately 60 employees and over 12,000 customers throughout Ontario and Western New York State.

MICRO SNITCH CORPORATION 1998-June 2000

A privately owned company located in Waterloo, Ontario. The company is a leader in North America in the manufacture and distribution of security alarm systems designed for use with personal computers, electronic equipment and other valuable assets. Annual sales are in the range of $.5 million.

President and Chief Executive Officer

As controlling shareholder of this new business venture the management role is all encompassing. Working with a small office staff and contract installation people the role includes responsibility for Sales & Marketing, Production, and General Operations Management.

CUSTOM CRYOGENIC GRINDING CORPORATION 1996-1997

A publicly owned company involved in the processing of recyclable rubber and plastic polymers. The company located in Simcoe, Ontario with sales of approximately $6.0 million procured and processed a wide variety of recycled products throughout North America.

MAPLE LEAF FOODS INC. AND GROUP COMPANIES 1974 - 1996

A publicly owned company involved in food and agriculture based products. Canada’s largest food-based corporation with operations throughout the country manufacturing and distributing a wide range of food products and agriculture-based items. International operations are located in Europe, the Orient and the U.S. Total sales in excess of $3.0 billion.

Maple Leaf Poultry (Special Assignment while retaining Group President Status) 1994-1996

Assisted the President of Maple Leaf Poultry acting as Vice President Finance and Administration

Maple Leaf Foods - International Operations 1993-1994

Reported to the President and CEO. A position created bringing together four company-owned businesses based in Canada with operations in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and the U.S., and two U.S. subsidiaries of the parent company. Total sales for the group was CDN $1.2 billion.

Reported to the Group President of the Agribusiness Group. A new position formed after the acquisition of Canada Packers by Maple Leaf Foods.
