Performs access control of vehicles and pedestrians to installation. Performing security guard duties in accordance with appropriate regulations to detect and prevent theft, damage, accident, trespass, sabotage and espionage and to enforce the security regulations of the installation. Verifies identification through use of identification cards, badges, automated records, and other means. As initial point of contact, answers brief visitor questions, determines whether appropriate authorization for access exists, and provides assistance. Inspects containers, personal property, and documents on private, commercial and governmental vehicles. Authorized to confiscate unauthorized or otherwise controlled items, and to detain those suspected of criminal or other illegal activity. Conducts foot or vehicle patrol duties of military installation perimeters, roadways, parking and other high traffic areas. Report accidents and incidents to the Provost Marshals Office (PMO) and takes charge at the scene until proper authorities arrive. Confiscate any expired/damaged identification and provide proper documentation necessary in accordance with Army regulations. Visitor Control Center (VCC) duties include operating National Crime Information Center (NCIC) in accordance with federal and state laws. Possesses knowledge of NCIC operations and maintains NCIC state certification. Process NCIC queries per duties and upon request. Perform administrative duties. Operate terminal/computer/network to query databases.

Experience and knowledge in NCIC III, Centralized Operations Police Suite (COPS), Army Law Enforcement Reporting and Tracking System (ALERTS), Pending/Driving/Bar upload/download, SureID/EID, Installation Access Pass (IAP)/MWR, RAPID Gate requests and approvals.
