DUTY DESCRIPTION:

Command Surgeon, United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Serves as principle medical advisor, Commander USSOCOM, Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC),

& Component Surgeons to synchronize all aspects of health service support across the global Area of operations. Oversees health and /welfare of 58K SOF supporting persistent and networked Geographic Combatant Commands (GCC) operations; retains Service OT&E of 2.7K Special Operations medics. Informs med innovation with bottom-up/operator-driven approach to enhance and extend Special Operations lethality and combat power. Provides decisional and policy input to Office Secretary of Defense (OSD), Office Joint Surgeon Staff (OJSS), Military Healthcare System (MHS), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Federal Drug Administration (DHA); collaborates with Special Operations Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics, Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF), Warrior Care Program (WCP), Joint Special Operations University

(JSOU).

Formerly PA Consultant to The Army Surgeon General (TSG): Assists PA AOC Chief on matters pertaining to PAs to include providing subject matter expertise to military leaders; assisting with dissemination of information, directives and advice to the field; providing input on policies, procedures and practice; advising military leaders on manning, training, equipping the force; providing advice on specialty-specific training, assisting with human resource alignment and distribution; serving as a mentor to PAs and members of the Army Medical Specialist Corps.
