EXPERIENCE
Time To Succeed Daycare Altoona, PA
Adminstration 04/2016-Current
I do the billing every week that requires me to work hand and hand with the daycare accountant and ELRC. I prepare folders for new enrollees, I do tours of the facility for the incoming clientele as well as making the accounts in the computer once they enroll their child or children. I am responsible for doing the monthly attendance that is required by the state. One of my duties is scheduling for all the children in our care, I also have done staff scheduling as well. Even though most of my work is done on the computer, I do take time to go into each classroom to make sure our teachers and students are all doing fine, I like to make sure no one is in need of anything. I enjoy working with people as well as taking care of them. I have a good working relationship with each of our parents, I do my best to help solve any issues that may arise. I have placed the weekly food order, transported children to and from school, prepared and served lunch on occasion, helped parents get services for their child or children if needed. I have also worked on the Mental Health side of the company for 21 months in which I am still currently doing so taking care of troubled teenage boys that are between the ages of 14-18 years old. They come to us to live for a variety of reasons mostly drug and alcohol problems; but there are several other reasons as well. Our program is designed to teach these boys everyday life skills so one day they can become independent adults. I help them with learning how to cook, clean properly, work on communication skills with other people, help them to deal with negative as well as positive situations in the proper way, I also help them with their homework when they need help, We have a schedule that we follow on an everyday basis as well, this is our way of giving them structure. While working for IFC,Inc. One of my clients was diabetic and was on an insulin shot once a day. I helped him control his diabetis by diet. Over a course of a couple of months he lost weight and most importantly he went from a shot a day to controlling his diabetis by diet on a daily basis. I really enjoyed doing the research on diabetis and finding out things I did not know this was a very good experience for me and I am proud of this. When the client thanked me it made all the difference to me.
