During my tender for 26 years, I worked in many roles of the operations.

March 2011 to August 2021 Terminal Manager: Direct Report to Regional Vice President (RVP) and District Operations Manager (DOM).

Responsibilities as Terminal Manager: March 2011 to August 2021

Direct report on P&L for all divisions monthly, quarterly and annually. Analytical breakdown of profits and loss for Inbound, Outbound, Linehaul, P&D Operations, Sales and Office Customer Care divisions. Create profitable growth in each division, report to DOM and RVP on Operational Plans for increasing capacity.

Responsible for Annual Business Plan, to effectively and profitably service current customers and increase terminal OR by 5% YOY. Managed Sales Department on new customer sales both local focus accounts as well as National Corporate Accounts. Report to RVP, DOM and District Sales Manager, strategic plans on service improvements, specific accounts Operation Ratio reductions and create capacity for increased freight volumes.

Responsible for Quarterly Business Reviews with Sales team and District Sales Manager. Identify low profit or high service failure accounts and create a solid action plan to increase OR and Service for customers while remaining competitive in the market for growth.

Responsible for enforcing compliance, safety requirements and company policies to follow DOT, Federal and State Labor regulations, OSHA and NMCFR within all divisions. Documentation of all training, updated data for all Driver Qualifications (DQ) files, Forklift Certifications, Drug and Alcohol Consortiums and Safety Requirements for all drivers.

Responsible for employee PI assessments, KPI’s compliance, HR proficiencies, to monitor employees assigned employment functions and experience for annual compensation increases and bonus plan incentives.

Responsible for Recruiting, Performance Reviews, Corrective Actions, Coaching, Training and if needed Terminations of approximately 120 to 130 employees. Processing and documentation properly and correctly to avoid unfair employment claims of any kind.

Managed my direct report managers and supervisors including 2 Operations Managers, 2 City Dispatchers, 2 Outbound Supervisors, 2 Inbound Supervisors, 1 Linehaul Dispatcher and 1 Office Supervisor. Monitoring KPI’s, Service Compliancy, Safety Regulations and HR Policies are being followed by the entire terminal staff.

July 2007 to March 2001: Operations Manager:

Responsible for managing all terminal Operations, setting work schedules, new hire training, compliance, service and quality improvements, reporting directly to Terminal Manager.

Managing direct report supervisors in City Dispatch, Inbound, Outbound, Linehaul and Office Supervisors. Direct management of all terminal safety regulations, equipment availability, customer service quality, OS&D procedures and HR compliance.

Held weekly Safety Meetings with all divisions, implementing new computer software, OSHA, DOT Compliance, and required documentation on all issues within the terminal.

Responsible to ensure all employees receive proper training for their division, cross training on multi-functional divisions, assuring all KPI’s are met daily.

Responsible for Strategic Specialty accounts, working with Terminal Manager to set SOP’s, implement challenging goals and customer needs.

March 2005 to July 2007 Supervisor City Dispatch: Dispatch & Supervise team of 50 P&D Drivers

June 2003 to March 2005 Outbound Dock Supervisor: Supervise Outbound freight loading supervising 25 to 30 dock workers.

April 2001 to June 2003 Inbound Dock Supervisor: Supervise Inbound freight operations, supervising 20 to 25 dock workers.

July 1995 to April 2001 City Driver, OTR Driver & Driver Trainer: Safely deliver and pick up freight with CDL Tractor Trailer, Ran OTR for about 8 months and was assigned new hire driver training in 1999, responsible for training all new drivers on computer systems, Logs, and Customer processes.

East Coast General Manager: Longyan Forwarding / DBA: ANL Trucking Inc.

Job Functions:

Created structure for new division on East Coast for Longyuan Forwarding: DBA ANL Trucking. Managed multiple terminals on East Coast creating compliance, HR policies, Hiring staff, creating Sales division, purchasing new equipment, compliance with DOT, OSHA, NMCFR.

Managed all functions as with Estes Express Lines, but with a much smaller operation. All business is Drayage, Transloading, Warehouse Fulfillment, Customs Bonding and CFS.

Increased US business 90% with growth profitability of $40,000 per month.

Increased staffing by 95% to 20 employees.

Increased equipment by 80%

Director of Operations: TRD Trucking Vineland NJ July 2022 – February 2023

TEMPORARY POSITION

Manage company of over 130 employees in Food Grade Tanker / Reefer Trailer / FDA regulated, KOSHER compliant trucking company. Manage team of 9 Driver Managers, 6 Office Personal, and over 120 OTR Tractor Trailer Drivers. Oversee direct routing, scheduling and service for all customer loads to arrive with 99% on-time efficiencies. Reduce empty miles, increase load factor while monitoring all drivers DOT log Hours and DOT Compliance. Set Safety Standards in place for Road Drivers Compliance and Set up home-time schedules. Responsible for recruitment, retention and training of all company employees, with OSHA, DOT and NMCFR. Created Driver DQ files and implemented Drug Screening Compliancy for DOT Regulations. Schedule equipment PM maintenance, Trailer Annual Inspection Renewals, KOSHER tanker wash compliance, equipment evaluations, DVIR reporting and documentation system and DOT Safety Requirements. Report weekly KPI’s, Operating Ratios and COST per Load, Driver, Stop analyst to CEO. Created a usable P&L summary report to determine driver efficiencies, Fuel Costs, Revenue per mile empty and loaded.

Terminal Manager: Central Transport October 2021-June 2022

Managed LTL Hub Terminal with same requirements as Estes Express Lines, but on a smaller scale.

All customers, P&L and Operational Standards were handled by the corporate office in Michigan.

I have been a member of the South Amboy Volunteer Fire Department since 1994. I have held all Officer positions including Fire Captain, Safety Officer and Chief of the Department

Although this is not a permanent paying career, I have served the City as a firefighter for over 28 years. In these 28 years I have 20 years of Safety, Hazardous Materials, Liability, and Preservation training through many Academies and Courses.

I still maintain a position as Safety Officer assuring scene stability on all emergency responses.
