My responsibilities placed me in an administrative role being the frontline support for this HR transitional team. I gained valuable experience in direct hands on payroll and Kronos recording adjustments and provided all staff with all Kronos on-site support and made adjustments within the system to ensure that leadership and employee inputs allowed for reductions in payroll errors. I updated employee status in PeopleSoft: to reflect new hires, status changes, and transfers to ensure accurate reporting of direct line supervision. At the offer stage of the recruitment process I would conduct background checks on applicants and review outcomes with hiring manager. I set-up business accounts for job postings on several college career centers allowing me to be responsible for screening and reviewing applicants for this internship. This position was focused in the Workforce Planning department for two separate facilities that required me to conduct interviews of applicants via electronic hiring system. Recruiting efforts were for various distribution center and customer service vacancies. I was on the facility’s team maintaining OSHA and DOT compliance records. Some of the duties in my position would require me to maintain accurate records and hiring logs to track hiring trends in Excel spreadsheets for documenting hiring trends. Some administrative activities would require me to enter personal and confidential data into GEMS secure database system. I verified employment eligibility for authorization to work. My office would report voluntary EEO and ADA analytics for business development. As a member of the center management team I provided support to part-time and full-time managers for staff performance and employee relations concerns and escalated concerns as needed.
