Working with RMTC - Joint Venture of Parsons – Egis – Systra. Project is consisting of 6 lines 131 stations and length of 106 miles. At Riyadh Metro Transit Consultant as MEP Engineer, I am responsible to lead supervision during construction with design implementation and team management. Issuing Quality Observation Log and NCRs (non confirmation report) and field memos, Monitoring of manpower to achieve target dates. Project consists of four High Rise towers and other seven buildings ( R&D building, Incubator building, Electronic Library building, Central Services building, Health Club and Clinic building and Mosque). All buildings are with full facilities of MEP systems. Reporting to Assistant Residence Engineer, Monitoring, controlling and issuing instruction to engineers and inspectors, coordinating with other disciplines (HVAC, Fire Fighting and water services) and HSE.
My responsibility to supervise, inspect and test MV switchgear, transformers, generators, Distribution panel, Earthing & lightning protection and low current systems e.g. fire alarm, security system (CCTV, Access control & Car parking), communication systems, EIB / KNX lighting control, BMS system to ensure if it is in accordance with contract (drawings, specifications, BOQ and terms and conditions). Also supervision and coordination with infra structure UTILITIES, its divergent and connection to required member of networks. Short description noted below
Review and approval of ITPs, design drawing, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, technical query, AS BUILT drawings and O&M manuals, review and record of check lists prior to testing and commissioning. Coordination with HVAC, Fire Fighting and water services.
Below mentioned systems were tested and commissioned and recording of test result under our control:
RMU, Generators (up to 2.1MVA), FAT and SAT; 2000KVA, 1250KVA, 1000KVA Transformer dry type; MDBs, EDBs, SMDBs and DBs; Earth resistance test of grounding & 3
Lightning protection system. Each LV circuited continuity and insulation resistance test carried out and recorded its results. Each member of EIB and its Control panel tested and its interface with BMS assured and recorded. Illumination (Lux) level verified after completion of luminaries, Data cable testing prior to its termination at patch panels. Each member of fire alarm system, public address system, CCTV, Door access tested. Coordination and monitoring of CWR and air balancing, Pump testing at pump room & ETS room. Fire cause and effect as integrated testing among concerned system with BMS.

Project was a huge residential project by Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Company consisting of different types of residential villas and multi storey buildings, two MV (GIS) substation, pumping station for water supply and drainage, over bridges with facilities of school, Hotel and Hospital, and civil defense facilities.
My responsibility to coordinate with main program, review of design drawings; tender documents; bid analysis; participation in kick off meeting, weekly progress meeting, technical meeting; follow up progress of project (MEP only); review of monthly progress report and progress payments; follow up of quality control etc. Act as the MEP team leader controlling all aspects of the works including, planning, administration, commercial, engineering, site works and documentation. Review of design drawings from designer and feeding input to get deliverable to client. Review of tender documents (drawings, BOQ and specifications) prior to issue to contractors for biddings. Bid analysis and selection of contractors. Participation in Kick off meeting with awarded contractor. Participation in weekly progress meetings and procurement meetings as well, Review of POs / LOI. The Centria mall building was fully facilitated with all system of electro-mechanical systems and having two substations having four transformers of 1000KVA each, four chillers of 300TR capacity. All electro-mechanical systems (lighting and power distribution, UPS power supply, fire alarm system, MATV, CCTV, sound system, data network, telephone network, Access control, water services-supply, drainage and storm water, HVAC, Chilled water system, fire fighting system and BMS) were installed. Apart from these building was facilitated with standby generator, Reverse Osmosis unit of 100 cubic meters per day, window cleaner machine, elevator and escalators. Apart from these I was also involve in approval of design for new coming projects.
