Report to duty on time and strictly adhere to work and finish assigned duties on time.
Ensure the hotel standards are strictly followed, maintained while carrying out allocated duties in an orderly, organized and efficient manner.
Ensure the specified areas which are rooms, corridors, balconies, and pantries are cleaned and presentable within the allocated time frame to the required standards.
Maintain all equipment in an orderly fashion, handle all guests’ queries in accordance with company standards and any damages to be reported through the correct channels.
Have proper regards and care of guests’ property at all times.
Report any lost and found items for recording and follow-up.
Liaise wit the floor supervisor on VIP or special attention rooms.
To ensure the service areas are kept neat and tidy at all times, be aware of hotel services and facilities to appropriately advise guests’ where appropriate.
To be fully conversant with emergency procedures.
Report rooms that have a
DND for more than eight
hours to the floor supervisor.
Maintain a high personal hygiene level while on duty as explained in the colleagues’ handbook.
Issue floor keys to room attendants.
Supervise cleaning on the allotted floors and areas- including guestrooms, corridors, staircases, floor pantries of the allotted floors.
Inspection of cleaning in rooms and coordination of the work on floors
Supervise handling of soiled linen to laundry and requisitioning of fresh ones from housekeeping.
Report maintenance work on the floor.
Supervise spring cleaning.
Coordinate with room service for tray clearance.
Maintain par stock for the respective floors.
Facilitate the provision of extra services to guests such as babysitters, hot water bottles, and other guest requests.
Report any safety or security hazard to the security department.
Check on scanty baggage.
Prepare housekeeping status reports.
Inform the front office about ready rooms.
Ensure services offered to VIPs are of the highest standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend briefings prior to the restaurant opening, well-groomed and equipped with the basic aids of operations such as bottle openers, pens, pads, and matches.
Learn the du jour items, not-available items, menu preparations, and their presentation.
Complete mise en scène and mise-en-place before the restaurant opens.
Check all the equipment and furniture at the station for their serviceability and maintenance requirements.
Clean and polish allotted silverware, cutlery, glassware, and chinaware.
Stock the sideboard with proprietary sauces, jams, salt and peppershakers, butter dishes, linen, and other service ware.
Lay table covers as per standards set.
Fold napkins as per prescribed attractive styles.
Requisition fresh linen and flowers from housekeeping.
Air the restaurant and ensure that the station is clean.
Receive, greet, and seat guests.
Present wine lists and menu cards and take orders.
Serve food and beverage by the standards of the
restaurant.
Upsell food and beverages.
Present the bills and receive payment correctly.
