I have experience teaching a wide variety of students of different age and ability level within the San Diego Public School System. I can and have designed and communicated IEP’s, and can effectively manage a classroom using clear rules, procedures and by implementing an effective discipline program. . I have experience setting goals for students based on their individual ability and learning style, often tailoring lessons to student needs and designing curricula geared toward their ability and grade level and taught core curriculum using a variety of techniques to reinforce learning and daily living skills to help prepare students for life after graduation. As a long term sub, I’ve taught subjects such as keyboarding and use of Microsoft Office applications such as Power Point, and am knowledgeable and capable of teaching in other areas of multimedia such as filming/editing, graphic design and video/music production.

From November 2006 to November 2011, I took some time off to help my mother care for my stepfather who had ALS.
