As head of digital I oversaw all aspects of Solidatus’ digital presence. I set the strategic direction for the company - identifying exactly where we needed to spend our limited budget and resources in order to get the maximum outcome to increase quality leads. That included all channel management - constantly optimizing our paid Google, Microsoft and LinkedIn advertising, implementing an ABM strategy, and conversion optimization on our website.

- Spearheaded the complete design, build and migration of Solidatus.com to a new Headless CMS with improved user experience, clearer navigation, and Search Engine Optimized for Google Core Web Vitals.

- Headed up a re-brand of Solidatus including new visual identity and messaging

Whilst I continued with my responsibilities as head of digital at Bureau van Dijk, I was brought into a new digital team at parent company, Moody’s Analytics - to take on a wider remit including their Sitecore website moodysanalytics.com and Marketo instance which had over 1 million contacts. I did a lot of work with internal stakeholders - legal, compliance, risk, IT and other teams to make sure the website and email processes adhere to relevant laws and guidelines such as GDPR, CCPA and WCAG, as well as external relationships with digital and PPC agencies, hosting and translation partners. As well as integrating the systems of new brands as Moody’s Analytics acquired them.

Head of Digital, Bureau van Dijk - A Moody’s Analytics company

London UK and Remote, March 2015 - March 2022

My time at Bureau van Dijk (which was acquired by Moody’s Analytics in 2017), has been my career highlight so far - I had complete ownership of all aspects of the company's digital presence - and achieved so much in the seven years I worked there - including streamlining their 12 Global Google Ads accounts, in 10 different languages, and being heavily involved in the implementation of Salesforce CRM across the company.

Key achievements

- Managed the design, build and migration to a new multi-language Sitecore website with improved user experience, clearer navigation, and gated thought leadership content.

- Integrated bvdinfo.com with Salesforce, a translation provider, and new email marketing platform

At NES Global Talent I was responsible for the overall digital strategy of the company - including website, email, PPC and performance metrics using Google Analytics.

Wellington NZ, September 2007 – April 2012

At PWT I was the inhouse web person - overseeing the design and build of all campaign websites including the launch of Wellington on a Plate (food festival), Rugby World Cup 2011, and the main website for Positively Wellington Tourism (PWT).

Key achievements

- Increased site visitation to WellingtonNZ.com by 140%, from 73K visits per month to 176K.

- Project managed the implementation of new revenue streams for PWT including an online event booking engine for WellingtonOnaPlate.com (2011).

- Managed the design and development of Wellington’s annual Food Festival ‘Wellington On a Plate’s website – WellingtonOnaPlate.com and major annual updates since the inaugural festival in 2009.

Early Career

Started my career as a Web Developer/Designer - first off freelancing, then for a small advertising agency, then in-house at the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
