I am a Marine Engineer and I have been working on ships for 15 years and have been an engineer since 2007. I have worked on LNG tankers.

I am currently working as a second engineer on LNG tankers with Eaglestar (Misc).

I have studied marine engineering on high maritime School of Algeria.

During my time as an engineer, I have been trained in mechanical and electrical engineering, involving mechanical, steam, pneumatic and electric/electronic control systems in the vessels control systems and running of machinery. My job was to conduct any maintenance planned or unplanned, fault finding on the vessels equipment, and to ensure all the vessels systems are operating correctly at all times, and within their specific operating range. I have also ran the ships engine room and had full operational control of the plant and its machinery as Acting 2nd Engineer.

Electrically I have worked with 6.6 KV (High Voltage), 440 V AC 3 Phase 60Hz, 240-220V, 110V and 24VDC. I also have knowledge and operation of switchboards, generators/Power plants, including removal/overhaul and refitting of electrical motors/other items without any issues. I understand Electrical isolation procedures and follow all risk assessments and permits to work.

All tankers (15 years experience) I have worked on have utilised steam turbine and DFDE (Dual fuel Diesel Electric) as propulsion on board.

During my time as an engineer I have operated and maintained machinery from the following manufacturers: Man B+W, Wartsila, Doosan, Caterpillar, Cummins, Rolls Royce, Allen Deutz, Ssangyong, Yanmar, Alfa Laval, Kawasaki, Mitsubishi, Kongsberg, Lynsgo, Hamworthy, Altas Copco, Boll & Kirsch, Aalborg, Liebherr and many other manufacturers.
