Designed and deployed Virtual Environment for US data center using the VMware software and NetApp storage appliance.

Installed and configured the VMware VCenter in Windows server 2008 with clustering.

Installed and configured the NetApp storage appliance with Fiber channel cables redundancy to ensure the availability.

System Administrator

In this role I am Maintaining and monitoring MS Exchange 2010 Mail servers, File/ Print servers, IT Helpdesk server, Backup Server and for all key production servers.

Responsible for the uptime of all the production servers and undergoing a monthly maintenance of all the servers for patch updates.

Creation of user accounts with mail ID for the new joiners in Active Directory based on the request logged in vhelp and updating the details in AD account management sheet in IT portal.

Creation of Distribution List using Active Directory based on the request assigned against my name.

Deletion of user accounts, computer objects and contact based on the HR request logged in vhelp.

Maintaining the AMC details of all the servers and will be coordinating with the vendor and to my Reporting Manager for the renewal.

Backing up all the production servers using LTO4 Tape Library and providing the required data from the tape when requested

Allocation of space in file repository for all the users request for a common folder to maintain their official data and granting ownership and the access to the respective users based on their requirements.

All the major changes in production servers are going through the Change Gear process, I will be raising a RFC in change gear and discuss the need of change in change gear meeting held and based on the approval the changeover will be processed

All the production servers are being monitored by Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 (MOM), the alert from MOM needs to be monitored and corrective action will be taken against each alert.

Duplication of all the IT Production servers are done for the Business Continuity Plan (BCP), will be testing all the duplication production servers by putting down the original servers and ensuring the availability of all the production servers during crisis.

Admin Rights Exception Management, based on the request from the end user for the admin rights will be analyzed and sends out the recommendation to risk Management for the granting the admin rights in their local machines.

Software Compliance Management, upon the request raised by resources based on the availability of license and the cost involved will provide the approval for the software installation.

IT Help Desk Lead

Vhelp is a centralized URL to address the need of a uniform interface for Shared Services Issue Logging & Tracking across Virtusa. Vhelp is an automated tool which will have the SLA time mentioned against each service category and provide us the consolidate report on auto email alerts to Team (DailyWorkOrderStatusReport per location) on Total Open Calls, Number of Requests made during day, Total Non-Status Updated Calls, Total Status Updated Calls, Total Calls Closed for the day & Individual Technician calls status. Vhelp has the option for end users providing their feedback against each request and the satisfaction level. Vhelp has been auto designed on escalation matrix, when pending request cross the SLA time.

In this role I was responsible for managing 15-members technical support team and in performing day-to-day IT operational management of companies’ helpdesk activities. This includes supervision of staff ensuring maximum user satisfaction and operation effectiveness. Be the focal point, the initial interface for all helpdesk and systems engineers staff related issues, such as hiring and let go of team members, coaching, motivating, training, and performance reviewing.

Installation of Virtual Network Computing:

Network connections and cabling were planned and established. Once all the cabling and Network interface card are connected in the machine, we can login to the remote system through network by Virtual Network computing to repair the remote machines. It will be useful to install the printer drives and installation of Software’s like office 97, office 2000 and office XP and all software’s.

Installation of Trends Office Scan Management Edition:

Management edition software of Office scan antivirus TVD was installed in the primary domain server. More than 175 Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000 clients were configured with remote administration. All the clients were installed with Office Scan Virus from the server itself through the management console. All clients were scanned from the server. Weekly scanning schedules were configured. Total monitoring and centralized security systems were established.

Maintenance of Local Area Network:

Maintenance of Local Area Network for 175 machines with Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows 98, Windows 95, by connecting to the Server to access the mails and the SAP package and connecting to the Network Printer and connecting to the Local Printers.
