ASR Group (American Sugar Refining, Inc) is the largest privately held global cane sugar refining company, w/ production capacity of 6.5 million tons of sugar per year. The company produces a full line of consumer, industrial, food service, and specialty sweetener products.

Plant Refinery Manager

Responsible for $700MM revenue operation and 400 associates across the largest CPG sugar refinery operation in the Western Hemisphere that produces 7MM pounds of refined sugar daily. Oversight includes government compliance to OSHA, EPA, LDEQ, EEOC, with associated SQF, HACCP, and GMP protocols and documentation.

Select Accomplishments:

Established Pd.M. program through various techniques that increased OEE 5% which resulted in contribution margin of 2% or $3.1MM

Developed a safety cadence culture through utilization of OSHA and NSC programs, and other incentivized initiatives that drove TIR to .7 from 2.2, resulting in $850K annual savings.

DFS is a national leader in blended formula kettle cooked items, blended batters, bakery, spray drying & pasteurized items through multiple distribution networks. Sites also produce a wide range of RTE chilled, frozen, baked, aseptic, retort and ambient products under private label to some of the most successful retail and food service customers in the world.

Responsible for $132MM revenue operation and $25MM P&L that employs 240 associates across two BRC certified manufacturing facilities with North American distribution rights. Oversight includes USDA and FDA facilities with PSM, FSMA compliance and BRC oversight.

Led $18MM Engineering Capex project that enabled a new high speed automated aseptic line, kettle cooked frozen line, a wastewater DAF system, anhydrous ammonia refrigeration system and upgraded MEP systems that combined two plants into one and grew the facility into a flagship operation.
