I started out as a Tender on a SAT/ROV vessel Kingfisher promoted to Lead Tender within 6 months, worked the position for over a year then sent over to the surface boats to become a diver .While working on Surface Dive Vessel Fairmount Fuji, I tended Divers entering and exiting the water, performed breathing air / gas HEO2 reports and inventory, put dive hats on line and make sure that it was working and safe for the dive. Send Divers their tools and retrieve the tools,set up the rigging to send over the side pieces of pipeline to send to the diver in the water, run Decompression Chambers for divers on decompression. I performed maintenance on all equipment used 5120 Quincy dive compressors, Air and Mixed Gas diving spread, jet pumps, Hydraulic pump units,Water Blaster and Various saws .

Made Lead Tender on the Surface Dive Division within 6 weeks, worked this position until I got enough working dives required and with the Surface Dive Superintendent recommendation to be promoted to Diver.

As Diver, I was sent to DMT Class where I got my DMT certification, I worked on various jobs setting jet-sled,NDT inspection on pipelines,tie-in pipelines,P & A pipelines,remove pipelines off sea floor, scrapping and site clearing .

After the oil spill, Veolia changed its mission in the Gulf of Mexico,I worked on several ROV jobs working closely with ROV crew working on the sub,landing and launching the sub,changing out and reconfiguring the sub with different tools,sending tools over the side to the sub in the tool basket,learned how to tie monkey fist and rig tools for the ROV .

I did this and would go back to the SAT boats as the Surface Diver and go do some inland diving for Veolia until they shut down the diving division and let all the dive crews go.
