Responsibilities

HR BUSINESS SUPPORT

Act as a primary contact to functional managers on all HR related issues & services. Provide consulting to managers on a broad range of HR related issues and problems. Develop, update and implement all HR policies and procedures. Manage professional HR and IR administration practice, policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all annual labour law related compliance and submissions, Advice on Best Practice implementation on all Human resources strategies, policies and procedures as based in practice.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

Ensure that all recruitment of Areas/team are concluded in a timeously manner. Job analysis in conjunction with line management to draw up accurate job descriptions

Advertising of vacancies in the various media or through consultants to ensure optimised costs vs. effective recruitment

Screening and short listing of all applicants and response handling All psychometric testing and referral of applicants Security clearance of employee as and when required Generation of probationary period programs in conjunction with line management Monitoring of new incumbent through the induction process and facilitating interventions as required.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Manage and drive implementation of formal Employee Performance Management process.

Ensure all new engagements are furnished with their relevant KPI's. Ensure that all employees are informed of and trained in the application of the performance Management model and system.

Coordinating the yearly performance appraisal process by ensuring a 100% completion rate.

Monitoring, evaluating and reporting results.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Development and Advisement on the development of a Training Matrix for site requirements,

Training needs analysis results and identification of all training needs (performance appraisal results etc.)

Development of career development program in conjunction with line management Submission of workplace skills plan (WSP) and actual training reports (ATR) Study loan applications and working / assistance of students as required Ensuring that training and development plans compliment Employment Equity guidelines of the company.

LABOUR RELATIONS

Assist and guide managers on labour relations matters such as disciplinary hearings, grievances, performance counseling.

Briefing and preparing of Witnesses for CCMA cases as required, Develop and maintain relations with labour relations unit. Preside over disciplinary processes.

Review, develop and implement of labour policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all IR policies.

Manage misconduct and incapacity.

Advise management on employee relations and best practice as per legislation. Preparation of CCMA/Bargaining Council Case Documentation Presenting Case documentation to HR Managers.

Represent the Company at the NBCRFLI & CCMA for Conciliation & Arbitration EMPLOYMENT EQUITY / BBBEE

Ensure that the employment Equity Plan/Targets are meet. Compiling the Employment Equity plan (in required format and on time) in terms of the legislation, for approval by the HR director

Communication, training and awareness of all employees regarding company EE plans

Assist in the Management of all SETA/TETA programmes, (Start to finish) REPORTING

Monthly/weekly reporting on the following;

ADMINISTRATION

Drafting of contracts of employment

Loading & Termination of employees

HR reporting on a monthly basis to HR Manager (including WSP / ATR progress, leave, staff turnover, etc.)

Employment equity statistics,

All adhoc letters, notes, memos, minutes etc. are drafted as requested. SITE SUPPORT

Routinely visit allocated sites to engage with employees and managers (when appropriate) to ensure that effective stakeholder relations are maintained, Ensure that HR is seen as a presence in all areas. Routinely contact Depot Managers / Supervisors to ensure that all outstanding matters are attended to.

Ensure that you are completely aware of all events, situations and happenings in your depots.

Counselling of employees,

Assist in DOL audits with the preparation of all the required documentation Payroll (300 VIP SAGE) and HR Admin

Manage the full cycle of monthly payroll

Maintain personal files

Ensure accurate salary processing

Maintain staff data in the payroll system
