Warranty Administrator / Senior E-Catalog Specialist

Evaluate warranty claims for accuracy, resulting in 89.3% overall efficiency Training of dealer personnel regarding claim preparation and FCA policy Ensure compliance with set processes and automotive regulations. Worked within the Aces parts database to build a parts data base for Mopar and Magnetti-Morelli parts. This data base is being used by outside companies to create catalogs for Warehouse Distributors and other Aftermarket entities such as Walmart. The database is being built by working within parts groups and determining what part should be called, location within the catalog, what vehicles use a part, where part is located within a vehicle, and what options are needed to use a certain part.
Service Parts Release Engineer
Contract with Ford Motors Company.
I released service parts for The Ford Service Warehouse System. I worked with production engineering to verify that there were service parts available starting at 18 months before a vehicle goes into production. Facilitate/attend Engineering meetings, as needed, to obtain new or changed model year program features. I oversaw keeping up with part updates and improvements, verifying whether a part would need a new service part number or not. This was determined by engineering notes, viewing the part in 3D CAD prints to pull apart from the vehicle and tearing each piece of the part down. This was done to break a production assembly down to release as many service parts as possible, After the service parts were created and released, I would then need to make any changes to the catalog art to reflect parts being offered separately for service. I would then use Arbor text to Create and update XML/SGML files. I would release the part, assign the correct commodity code for part then add the part to the correct section of the catalog. Along with releasing parts I would then be responsible for writing a section for parts released for the Ford Electronic Parts Catalog in sections for all Ford Trucks and SUV’s including bumpers, grilles, frames, insulators, body plugs and decals. Took dealer bump up concerns if they could not find parts in the electronic catalog, identify and verify if a dealer had a quality concern that needed to be checked in the warehouse system, and insure dealer would get the correct part when dealers received damaged or incorrectly packaged parts.
General Motors Partech —Senior Call Center Representative
Working with General Motors dealerships, I field phone inquiries, look up parts, resolve catalog and quality issues as well as help correct catalog errors. This includes using engineering drawings and prints to verify components are made correctly.
GM Good Wrench—Web Response
Responding to email and other web inquiries, I answered technical repair concerns, researched parts questions, logged and researched customer complaints, and researched accessory questions.
Technical Editor/Writer Librarian
Working with manufacturers researching information to write and edit technical repair, labor time, and crash estimating guides for North American and European vehicles. I would research each assigned vehicle by reviewing OEM repair guides deciding which interior or exterior part would go with each trim level vehicle. Created repair procedures with corresponding graphics with part location, removal, and installation guidance. Created procedures using XML/SGML/SVG files including the assigning of callouts with arrows, circles, numbers, and hyperlinks. Took lead on special project to improve processes, developed peer audit to ensure correct content published, and identified areas for operational improvement through process and technology adjustments. Also, in charge of all advanced research for every vehicle service manual that was written.
